For all of u asking if its tough switching. No, it feels exactally the same as real ice. It doesnt ruin the blade of ur skates but it eats them up quite a bit more then ice so recomend u sharpen them more often
@eichboy96 skating on real ice works because the ice below your blades melts due to the pressure. The blade then glides on the thin layer of water that has melted. The main reason you sharpen your blades is so you can go faster because there is less surface area, but even dull blades will work on real ice.
it makes "shavings". No more than the amount of ice that would come off on a normal rink. Every week or so You just run the vaccum across it to pick them up.
Synthetic ice fucks up ur blades

Does this mess up the bottom of your blades? Like would i be able to use my skates on this and they would still be fine for real ice?

Is it pretty tough switching from synthetic to real ice?

Looking at ez-glide (synthetic ice) pricing, it would cost around $25,000 for a rink that size. that's if I understand that correctly.

Ty For the reply also i hear that Kwikrink (Synthetic Ice) Dulls your Blades badly is that true or a Myth?
Wmdude1998 1 year ago
i think its a myth. Ive been on it a lot and i find it dulls your blades as much as regular ice would, at least this product anyway.
