Honestly at this point, I have very mixed feelings about seeing the remake. It doesn't look horrible, it just doesn't look that good. I was pretty stoked when I heard that Jackie was cast as Freddy, but after hearing a bunch of negative reviews of the leaked scripts and early screenings, I realized that one actor can't carry a bad script.

i think there is a valid reason for a remake. People have forgotten how scary freddy was meant to be. If newcomers watch freddy vs jason or go back and watch the original, much of the special effects have a really hoaky somewhat muppety look, making it hard to take seriously. Freddy is supposed to be scary beyond comprehension, and the pinball scene in fvj ruined that for me. I think this will do freddy proper justice.

He's the original and the lasic. The new one is trying to stray away from the jokes and sarcasm, and focus on the killing. In which case; Jackie's perfect. Anyone who saw him in Watchmen will agree, the guy can really act psycho. And make it scary.

I enjoy the original nightmare. It was cutting edge when it came out & even by today's standards, still pretty original. One of my fav horror movies.
From watching the new trailers, looks like it's a more modern version but still seems to follow the same plot..
I doubt if the new guy will be as good a Freddy as Robert Englund, but who knows? I can't wait.

Did you really need to use all caps? Chill out man, the real teaser trailer should be out in a few months and we have until April next year till it comes out. I'm just as frustrated about not seeing the Comic Con clip but there's no need to get mad at my video for it.
Anyways thanks for the comment on the song, for some reason it made me think of Freddy Krueger when I first heard it, don't know why, I wish it could be used in the remake.

The Freddy pictures in the video aren't pictures of Jackie Earle Haley. Those are from a fan made trailer from a guy who was trying to get a role in the remake. Look at my channel background if you want to see a picture of Jackie as Freddy.

He's the original and the lasic. The new one is trying to stray away from the jokes and sarcasm, and focus on the killing. In which case; Jackie's perfect. Anyone who saw him in Watchmen will agree, the guy can really act psycho. And make it scary.

Actually to be honest, none of them are real. They haven't even released an official picture from the movie other then the producers leaning against a Springwood police car. This is from Chris Johnson's Remake Concept Piece, because I feel this is what the remake should be like.
