I mean, in all reality, practising enough to be good takes up a lot more time that could be spent constructively than typing 80-odd characters on youtube. Point is that being good at SC2 is Kim's Job, so for him, it is constructive and he's expected to have a pro-level capability of the game for his job at blizzard.

jesus, planetary fortresses used to be overpowered as balls. That thing would have been dead in about 9 seconds in recent patches. Also, stalkers apparently didn't do +damage to armored? Damage output in this vid seems about half of what they do now.

You know what creeps me out? That there are probably even better players than David Kim. Kim is "only" a unit balance specialist or sth like that and the last time he participated in some tournament was in 2000 when he reached quarterfinals (at least this is the only info I found out on the Internet). Could somebody please explain the way nukes work? In the first game I remember having to arm silos, but it seems unlikely that the Terran player took the resources to arm 4 separate silos to drop all those bombs.

14:45 was the turning point for the Terran. If Ho hadn't lost that force in the attack on that high yield deposit, the outcome could've been very different.

@MrBeardedragon I don't understand your first question, but one does harvest more resources from 2 bases than 1 because there is a point at which there are too many worker units such that they get in each others' way while gathering. Furthermore, with too many worker units, areas become "mined out" more quickly.

Seems to me like one huge advantage David Kim always has is the amount of workers he has going at the minerals.

Doesn't matter if they both have the same amount of bases or even if Kim has one less, he always seems to have more workers mining.

Which of course gives him more units and means he is always able to outproduce his opponent.

David Kim seems to be a much more long-run gamer. If a rush actually worked well, he would be boned. The only reason he ever really survives, let alone wins, is because he micros so well that he survives to the point where he can crush the opponent with his resource lead. B.R. 2 is a perfect example, his stellar micro let him survive so that he could finally push zerg back.
