I feel sorry for the dogs, but we have to respect the dog fancy which means breeding of pedigree'd dogs. Sure we can adopt from shelters, I have 2 shelter dogs and 2 purebred dogs from a breeder. we have a dog, his leg was ran over by a car in New South Wales. his owners wanted to put him down (even though he could survive through seargery and they had the money), but my cousin who was a vet there, used the rescue fund to fix his leg and give it to my uncle and aunty (hey guys! guess what, you have a dog!) after a long time of living with him, my aunt and uncle had to move into a flat, and Crumble (dog) wasnt aloud inside. so my aunty gave him to my family! hes wearing oscars laws scarf!

I adopted my cross breed dog ( jack Russell/ wire terrier) from Manchester's dogs home in uk, 4 years ago.He was already 2 when i got him but i didn't care about pure breeds or puppies because that shouldn't matter.What matters is that dog will love you and that all that matters.My dog was found on the streets and had a broken rib.My guess is that this dog was beaten and thrown out.He was in the dogs home for months because of his age.He would of only had a few weeks, if that left.Please adopt!

I will tell you I am a breeder not a puppy mill and I can say I received a german shepherd puppy from a woman that got her from pet land and well she was dead at 6 months of age. I am a funny breeder I check up on most of my babies and retired my girls. And no not all dogs should be bred this kind of stuff is why i send alot of people to rescues.. Keep up the good work...

#1 in my book as I'm not sure what her actual number was when she was rescued. Maggie is a golden that was in a puppy mill the first four years of her life. When rescued she was full of infection, covered in flees and weighed less than 40 percent what she should have been at. Currently, Maggie's got two sisters and entire ranch to "RUN" around on. If you've never adopted a rescued animal, you haven't seen true happiness in a dogs eyes. She thinks we recued her... we see it differently!

awe. yeah, my uncle billy's dog was rescued along with her sister because her mother and brother sadly died. but she made it out alive and everytime i see her, her eyes r cute and loving. they even said [{they recuse dogs}] that the shelter/rescued dogs seem more grateful because they had 1 pet store dog that wasnt very grateful, so yes i have seen the happiness and gratefulness and they seem more playful, it just warms my heart and bring a couple tears to my eyes. <3animals<3

I just bought a puppy from petland last week oblivious to puppy mills and now shes at the vet for four days of nomina! there were three other pups there for the smae reason and now there all on 3 strong antibiotic clips! PETLAND DOES PUPPYMILLS! I am now a part of the humane society and am now boycotting petland. We'replanning a protest in the next few weeks. My mom is also trying to make a lawsuit from it. no, they do not get sent to the shelter to get put to sleep. they get sent to different shelters to be treated. they do surgery clean them, bathe them, pretty them up, and then when someone finds them they will b happy for the first time.

and here is a story, there was this dog and his owner had to put him in a shelter because he was going to war, but he was there for about 9 months and he came back and the dg was still there. it was a miracle because he loved that dog but where i live they dont get put down because they are at the shelter too long. so some places are just "mean" well, thats how it is to me. if they open a shelter they should do what they can to give the dog s a good home.

no, dont feel guilty, you did something good acually, iv been thinking about this for at least several months, if you buy a dog, you save it from torture and abuse, but you sorta help with profits for puppy mills, hopefully by the end of 2010 ALL puppy mills will be gone. that is my dream. because then i dont have to worry about that question. and i feel very tortured right now, having to put up with all those disguisting animal abusers, it makes me sick thinking about it =[

ok there IS facts that prove petland is involved with puppy mills. mabey your store doesnt do that but majority of the petland's get their dogs from puppy mills, like mine. its cruel & sad.& yes i did alot of research and my results pointed to petland and either way if im "wrong" or right you still shouldnt buy while shelter pets die. shelter pets get euthenized becuz there isnt enough room in the shelters. also even if ur petland store is good, the money still goes to buying puppy mills puppies

heres the thing, its about how cruel some people are, like puppy mills are really cruel and they give those dogs to like petland and pets STORES not shelters.... okay i went to petland a few months ago and they said that this dog, it looked sad scared and peed alot, was from a good breeder but acually from puppy mills, the video is about stopping puppy mills and helping shelters by ADOPTING not buying animals and the ONLY reason why its sad is to prove a point. i dont like seeing animals in pain

wow. my family adopted our dog, form our local animal shelter. This is a very good vid u made, makes ppl think about what they are doing when they just go buy a pet from the mills. 5/5 job!!! ~love the song btw

thanks i found like a good song yet not to sad just to make a point that not all people will give into the puppy mills and i adopted my dog and my parents NEVER EVER shoped, they always adopted im proud of myself my parents and all the supporters of going down with puppy mills :D
