  • adooooooooooooooorooo ouii ouii so good..........hem hem

  • "You always think it's you." -Yorkshire man from the future.

  • "God's only excuse is that he doesn't exist"_HMB I don't know all the words 2 this song except the very beginning so I'm at a lost as 2 why the song's title is Nietzsche.Any1 else know?

  • @apokryphos117g

Friedrich Nietzsche is the one credited for saying "God is Dead." I think it was in his book: It first appears in The Gay Science and again in Thus Spoke Zarathustra

  • @TheOriginalKA3AK And all I had 2 do is look under the vid 2 read the words. It seems that the longer I'm on a computer, the dumber I get.Thanks,G117 The joke written by Henri- Marie Boyle in the opening line of my comment was a fave of Nietzsche's.

  • I think this is a real beautiful video. Compliments for the pictures. I like so much

  • nooo I can't deal with that! :)

  • Don't let them bring you down, you did a good job with the video + amazing song! ;)

  • @kickrocksscrub thank you, sir!

    peace out.

  • Nietzsche: "I want a God who can dance!"

Can anyone here explain to me what this song's lyrics have to do with Nietzsche?!

  • Chords: E/A/G/A the whole way through. Also, if the Doctrine of Eternal Recurrence is indeed true does that mean I have to sit here listening to this and typing again and again for all eternity?

  • @639742T NO. Learn your Nietzche.

  • @emperorjawa Thank you for elucidating this point Emperor Jawa. It's good to know this self-same moment will not recur again and again as I'm not having that great a day, let alone life.

  • High as a fucking k!te, I love the sound of this song man (8)

  • great song, video sucks!!!

  • @satiavan yes, that is what I was talking about!

  • @junior311

    Hey Junior,

I think you made an interesting video about this song...This is one of my favourite songs of the band. My sugestion to you is to make a new clip with quatitons of Nietzche himself and you could put some paintings, of , for ecample, Holbein picture, of body of Jesus in the tomb, where his body is in the proces of decay. Or, maybe, some more horror- pictures of the Crusifiction, or some "Capricos" series of Francisco Goya.

    Sorry aboutta my english.

  • @divnaindija24

Thank you for your time and appreciation, @divnaindija24, but I don't think it should be such a good idea to make another video with/for the same song, though your suggestions are pretty interesting.

    thank you anyway.

  • @satiavan "Just a video I made with a tune that I love...no big deal" quote from guy who made the video

  • @BearWindAppleyard

    thank you, sir.

  • maann the instrumental rockssss

  • Guys, go to therapy and leave the comments field for the ones that can actually care about the music. Under the circumstances all I can say is: A massive track ruined by sexuality issues.

  • @Carekka77 hahaha...good one, but I actually like the philosophic discussions here.

In any case, thank you all, again, for the time and appreciation.

  • @Carekka77....when someone writes a song 'bout Nietzsche...this is what you`ll get!!!...you're the one who's ignorant....read his books first!!..and understand what he's saying...so don't try to be a smart arse!!!...with all due respect etc...

  • The Velvet Underground are back

  • @Misfit18195 dude whatever such a dum analagee.

  • @Misfit18195 no

  • you gotta dig Nietzsche oh AND his moustache. How many people can live out their life-span on this planet which enabled us without even contemplating the weirdness of being alive, You can tell the guys who appreciate the weirdness because they grow wild moustaches or cultivate something equally as eccentric about their person or their eyes bore right through you as they listen to your petty concerns, dreams and fears.

  • @rodneyhatch56 Right, but its used for purposes like that, to promote "tendencies" that are not natural, the same like fashion business etc.

  • @rodneyhatch56 Right, but its used for purposes like that, to promote "tendencies" that are not natural, the same like fashion business etc.

  • Most people doesn't understand Nietzsche. He was a great admirer of Jesus but he thought the circus implemented by humans around him turned off people off his roots. This thing made Nietzsche suffering and he couldn't accept the existing of these things that these things could exist. He was not enough tolerant.

  • @Nandor07 Since I read Neitzsche everything seems kinda pointless except tapping my foot to the Dandy's just barely energetic ennui. Nothing is worth getting too excited about.

  • gay people pretend don't believe in God because religion doesn't accept homossexualism.

    Nietzsche sucks

  • @crashbreakerr I don't even know how to respond to that... wow.

  • @crashbreakerr

    Nietzsche is gay?

  • very psychedelic song

  • Dude, their big break-through album was a picture of a peeling banana.

    Whatever, your opinion, not mine.

  • potential of this band to reach more success.

As a music medium, the collective imagry and inspiration of the melodies is of such quality that I find it unmatched. I don't know the history of the band or of it's aims and current status, but dealing with their fans as customers, I could see this band gaining a position in music history.

  • Good tune.

  • @8jdb2

and what exactly is your point about the "being gay" thing?

    I´m curious.

  • @junior311

The rise of the gay movement to obtain civil liberities has a beginning long in the making. As part of the movement, certain ideals and actions became shared with most involved. By going past the mark and assuming that tolerance meant acceptance, the opened themselves to a backlash. By not being aware of offending sensiblities and of not showing respect for others, the movement ended by becoming self-serving. Thus, by being nearly brasen, the backlash that it created, dimished the

  • @junior311 ur such a moran

  • @rocketscience21

    yes, I am. Thank you.

  • @8jdb2

Great song, stupid comment. Whose rules and whose reson are you referring? Nobody's asking you to be accepting, you can live in stupid as long as you want. Why you would want to call attention to your stupid is well because you are stupid. Please don't go on a shooting rampage though, your point of view will still be regarded as stupid.

  • @8jdb2

Lemme guess... You're a psuedo intellectual or a hick trying to explain away the eventuality of a rock band burning out by their gay-not gay ratio?

... What rules? What reason? Surely you speed in your car every single day (Breaking the fucking law). Rules must just be there for you to break at your convenience.

  • @deviousxen

okay, I wasn't going to respond but you forced me to by saying one intellectual thing. The rest man wow, dude, if you want to be a lawyer you got to learn logic. It's obvious that you like to argue but seriously, take a course or buy a books. Just by one, it will help you your entire life.

Beyond this, you are right, I don't know the exact reason for the demise of the band. I was just stating a possible reason with supporting arguements.

    Your material for your arguement?

  • @deviousxen they put out an album last year or maybe the year before, i saw them on tour for it. theyre still active and still awesome. though zia doesnt take her shirt off at shows anymore.

  • @8jdb2 The band naturally progressed as any band (and person) does. The gay movement didn't kill this band, they just died in your eyes since apparently you have a problem with alternative lifestyles. Good thing Christianity teaches humility and understanding....

  • @8jdb2 that s hilarius what u say...inspiration in art doesn t have to do with homo-hetero - bi thing...I m hetero but art i sometrhing spiritual ...not carnical

  • I want a god who stays dead

    not plays dead

  • what a dream. i forgot about this. wow.

  • @MrHuaren Yeah ;D I absalutely love this band. I dont listen to them often but I have been listening to them for years and years and years. They are truly something

  • its a pity that they are just famous for bohemian like you

    they got real great songs

  • Nietzsche is god. But, god is dead...so...

  • Awsome !

  • OMG look how many views this vid got just for the Nitz title

  • i am impressed with the picture with the scared man holding his face with these creepy fingers. do u know the name of this draw ?

  • @Betadine001 @ 1.59

  • Nice a story that is for all . Due to the spirit of presentation maybe muzics should be choosen from another style at least any from rock symphoni with softly tunin guitars.Thank you.

  • you can totally stride to this music, this should be used in a movie were the main guy or the team stride awesomely to something xD. brilliant

  • @ninthreaver it was in a movie, antitrust...not sure what it entails to 'stride awesomely' but the movie was certainly awesome,so any and all striding that may have occured during it, was most likely done in awesomeness. :)

  • @asphyxiatedangel sounds interesting, never heard of that movie but now i want to check it out

  • The year was 1996, the song was 'Heroin is so passe', the group was Dandy Warhols.

    and, then, there's Nietzsche.

    Awesome to me, thankz...

  • If I see that lizard-like old man's face again, I SWEAR there will be blood on the carpet. I don't mean 2 sound like a bitch, but it's just SO repugnant,..

  • This is good.

  • I love you, Friedrich! I could sleep inside Nietzsche's moustache forever.

  • love the lyrics, as simple as they are.

  • why being gay ?

  • I'm surprised that these guys weren't more famous than they became. They will probably be one of those cult groups, that just keeps becoming more popular as the years go by - long after they are gone.

  • @MrHuaren they pop in europe just never broke out in us which is probably a good thing

  • @MrHuaren jea :-) they make some really cool music.... and these lyrics here... are great!!!

  • @MrHuaren That makes me sad. Same with BJM. They ought to be huge as hell NOW.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrHuaren they didn´t want to be famous :)

  • @MrHuaren I agree. I fucking love this band. I cant believe they arent bigger in the US, but in a way I am glad they arent. Our culture tends to wreck things once they get too much attention.

  • @MrHuaren dude this sucks

  • @MrHuaren ,i wanna god who stays dead, not plays dead!

  • This song. Driving. Fast. Shades. HELL YEAHH!!

  • anyone know where i can get an instrumental of this song?

  • writing a song called nietzsche

is almost as pretentious as calling yourself the dandy warhols

    this band is fucking irritating

  • @pubpukeNfight don't watch it if you feel that way you cunt

  • @mjshunter1000

    I'm a cunt?

I guess that means your mother loves fucking cunts

  • Why does this automatically make me think of Muse?

  • @ChemHandbook - 'Cause you're stupid.

  • @LeshaAnn No, cause the song's shit, like your brain capacity.

  • @ChemHandbook -- I'll put my IQ up against yours ANY time you wish, Sir or Madam...

  • @LeshaAnn Sir, actually. Go ahead if you want to.

  • Love the song... love reading Nietzsche... it's all good.

  • Love the pic at 0:25 look at that fuckin' huge 'stash

  • BTW this is what God has to say about Nietzsche

20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools.

  • Nietzsche had mental problems, and eventually died a crazy old loon.

  • @K3vinK Humanity would be completely LOST without the crazy loons.

  • @junior311

    Care to explain that statement?

  • @K3vinK well, friend, with all due respect, it´s more or less like mr Anthony Kiedis once well said: if you have to ask, you´ll never know.

  • @junior311

Anthony Kiedis? You are quoting Anthony Kiedis? *shakes head*

  • @K3vinK yes...could you tell us why not?

  • @junior311

Could I tell you why not what? You aren't making sense.

  • @K3vinK I meant "why not quote A Kiedis?" He´s not any Foucault, but this song line of his("if you have to ask, you never know") says a lot to me. And it fits right on what you was asking me before, about not understanding why I said "Humanity would be completely LOST without the crazy loons." I really don´t think it would be something that demands an explanation.

  • @junior311

I am saying Anthony isn't anyone special to be quoting. Nothing he says is profound.

And you were the one making the statement. I just asked you what you meant by it.

"If you have to ask, you'll never know" is a copout and highly pretentious answer.

Just say "I don't have an answer to your question" and be done with it.

  • @K3vinK well...you are probably right, buddy. Good luck.

  • @junior311

This is not Anthony Kiedis's quote, but Louis Armstrong's. In the song Kiedis quote him.

  • @argonman14

    thank you, man!

    ;)

  • God or no God, take notice. If the story of mankind's existence on Earth were a 300 page novel we're on page 285 right now. Society is circling the drain babies, and the Bible was the rope that we used to hang ourselves.

  • We are all weak, and we give importance of God to anything that can turn into an ideal, so the fuck, God's concept is the one who died so we post-modern humans look for God everywhere (drugs, jobs, family, hobbies, sports) because at the end of the day we all need of him... we're so empty that we always need to look for something or someone that makes us complete.

Perhaps there's no God at all but we can be sure of something, it'd be better for most of us if there was

  • Is there any chance that we could tie Glen Beck to an office chair and force him to watch this a million times.

Great quality stuff.. definately NOT crap.

  • I can assure you all that despite of my Nietzsche's proclamations God is very much alive and living the shed at the bottom of my garden. He didn't die he got tired of caring.

  • Nietzche's a genius. Of course nobody wasn't expecting that you would understand him. Neither him was expecting that.

  • where's that shamroids/roidshams geek? answer me yoo beech! i have a fave for you! free for you!

  • What's the picture at 02:00? Man, I want that creepy thing on my wall! :)

  • Interesting,

  • Lol, typical atheist vs religious arguments again. Enjoy the song people, I'm a Christian and I love this stuff.

  • @AtheistTower Awesome for you! Really the society need people like you! :D

    Et In Arcadia Ego

  • @AtheistTower Christian yet your username is AthiestTower? That's awesome! haha :)

  • vassever...

  • omg i love this song !!!!!!!!! ♥♥♥

  • Beautiful song - terrific video. Thanks for sharing your video efforts.

  • Can't help but listen to the Dandy's over and over again...

  • God is alive and well !!! he play's 4 liverpool fc and wears number 9 on his back :-)

  • I'm an Atheïst and I never read Friedrich's work, yet i wanna comment: Religion is a personal thing, believe what you wanna believe.

I just enjoy the raw sound and processed vocal of this track, I didn't catch the lyrics until just now and I hearsd it like a 1.000 times xD

  • Great song

  • The most stone roses dandy song !!!

  • God cannot be dead because God has never lived (other than in the form of a concept) in the first place.

  • God is NOT dead-she's right here!

  • @catholicann You're so... ignorant. The lyrics are based on the book of Frederich Nietzsche 'Zaratustra' (I don't know how exactly it must be say in english) thet says 'Good Has Dead'.

    Nietzsche it's a genius

    Et In Arcadia Ego

  • @catholicann The way I see it, it's better to think that god is dead so we as human mortals do something to save this planet.

  • @TheMrartistman

That makes no sense either. Pretending that God doesn't exist isn't going to save the planet.

  • @K3vinK The point is...: no one, among the people that "pretend" there´s no god, is trying to save the planet....not considering, of course, those who claim the existence of a god.

  • Comment removed

  • @K3vinK Thinking there's a God makes people think that he will save us, that he will take good people to heaven, stuff like that. So they feel like they don't have to do anything to stop all the worlds problems, such as global warming, people that harm or kill others, etc... They would just be "good people" so they go to heaven and let God with his divine justice take care of those who caused harm and pain instead of doing something that actually shows results.

  • @TheMrartistman

The Earth is doomed. Save the people.

  • @catholicann prove it.

  • @catholicann

    where? here?

  • @catholicann Pleased to meet you! :-)

  • its a crap lol

  • Sounds like a bad super-sonic from bjm, just kidding, love love love ^_^

  • @slctdmbntwrx BJM is way better

  • God damn right! Can't wait to see em june 18th, let's go fucking mental!!! ^_^

  • nietzche hate faggots like these

  • Your video is nice with a cool song!!

( I love The Dandy Warhols)

  • The video's not crap. As the arbiter of all things real and unreal, seen and unseen, I like it.

  • well, all I can say is thank you very much...

you and all the viewers who made this video here this popular. And besides my own opinion about this kind of matter, I love the fact that people are trading points of view here at this forum. Very glad for it.

  • @Beemerboy324 It's a slideshow, not a video.

  • @Beemerboy324

perhaps this is the ressentiment talking, this video is crap. its okay crap. but crap nonetheless.

  • @Beemerboy324 I love your confidence, seriously, that is the way we should be - willing to consult our deepest self to know the truth and form our own opinions rather than following others like sheep - appropriately it is a very Nietzscheian thing.

  • @chazadanga - hate to point out the obvious, but did I say at any point that he did?

I'll tell you what I am interested in at the moment, Nitezsche's influence on Sigmund Freud. Some of their beliefs seem to correlate...

  • i just discovered this band..three things A)that keyboard chick is so hot its distracting C)they seem pretty fucking kick ass D)did i mention the keyboardist is too ho t?

  • bloody hell, when people are actually interested in discussing the philosophy of a great thinker or a belting piece of music, theres some folks who wanna turn word nazi, relax guys!

peace, tolerance and understanding - the only ways!

  • @wearethedestroyer - Nietzsche didn't believe in any of those things.

  • Great, indeed...

  • good clip bro, this is a fucking epic song! these dudes never stop putting out great music!

  • This song's bloody awesome.

  • @The0d0r1c The riff is reminiscent of Wild Thing, of all things.

  • now thats a philsophy i can get behind

  • Nietzsche wanted people to realize and be aware of their eternal damnation to life

  • last day i have create my first "lifeform" i have call it "ÜBERMENSCH" but the other gods only have laugh!

  • Great song, though. Goes good with Godless. I suppose that's why they're both on the same album with Mohammed sandwiched in between. :)

  • i love dandys !

  • i was atheist! then i have understand that i´m god!

  • Okay, if you're god, do something about the great injustices of the world, won't you?

  • sorry i have not create earth! it was a guy called "stupido" a really antisocial aggressive the most time drunken guy! the most of the other gods here speak not much with him he only speaks about sex and violence and making money money money the fast it get and the best it get on the cost of other! this men is really a bad person-sorry that i have no better message for you!

  • Oh, you should have said you were just *A* god, then... and not a very powerful one at that! ;) When you said you were god, I thought we were talking monotheism here!

  • os100594 a complete denial of god is nothing like communism or fascism it's just a perspective and it's probably right, anyway it's just a song get on it
