I saw this in the hot summer of 83, as it was broadcasted LIVE late at night on German TV: Since then the band influenced me in music.

The next day i rushed to the record store and bought "Whammy" and it`s still in my shelf today.

You had to see this live in the 80's.... I saw it in the fox theater in atlanta. The BASS was sooo intense the whole place shook :P You just can't recreate that part. EVERYONE was dancing!! It was insane.

Soooooo much better than the studio version. They should have recorded that entire album live. I have a bootleg concert recording including Toss That Beat and Cake along w/ Meso, and they are all so much better live than the Byrne-produced studio versions.

Realeased in early 1982, the album Mesopotamia was produced by David Byrne of Talking Heads. I remember when it came out, it was an alternative rock hit and a great 3rd album.
