The fact that we even have religion is simply an instinct of survival. Humans need a reason to carry on through out the days. How many of you stop and look towards the universe and wonder to yourselfs "why does it all exist?". Very few of you im sure.

We as humans know NOTHING about how we were created and what happens when we die. So we use God to fill in the gaps. Fear death... all of you. None of you have an idea what happens afterwards. Just dont be stupid enough to make something up.

You're making the assumption that it is God's unilateral responsibility to protect us from man-made or random accidents, to ensure that we never suffer any harm from natural sources, or to refrain from judging us for our moral violations(of His commandments, or other moral rules). I don't recall any book or verse of the Bible that says anything close to this, so such a claim cannot be drawn from Judaism or Christianity.

Sorry for the late response.

There's a flaw in your analogy; given the relationship that humans would have to God, we would not relate to Him as an end user of the computer(which I'm assuming is representing the universe in your analogy). Rather, we would be the programs on the computer. This has significant implications with regards to moral assignments. A programmer has inherent duties to the end-user(unless he is the end-user), but not to the programs themselves.

If we were programs we could be fixed and manipulated which, from what I understand, clashes with the idea of free will.

My point still stands. Your god could have created this world anyway he chose to. If this is the best he can do, I am not impressed.

I didn't re-work your analogy. I was pointing out that(as you wrote it) your analogy doesn't work. The relationship between humans, the Universe, and God doesn't resemble that between an end-user, a computer, and the computer's manufacturer; because humans are completely dependent on both the Divine and the Universe, and can't exist separately from them, while an end-user doesn't require his/her computer, or its manufacturer, to live. He/She can exist independently of them.
