I'm conflicted, cause I love Vinnie Moore - one of my favorites, and it's great to see him w/UFO. But I miss Schenker so much. Probably my biggest influence when I was learning to play.
I think they are playing great - it's just a lifeless sound - very flat. The lighting is terrible! Boring video of a great band. I was surprised at how good the new guys are...
Thanks for posting this! This is really great. Vinnie Moore kicks some serious butt on this one. Michael Who? I am a fan of Schenker but he needs to control his demons, and he has plenty. Rock on UFO!
This is readily available clip from Showtime 2 disc DVD... I like the acoustic side presented as well... This was so neat, I compressed the whole thing for my Sony PSP!!
Just brilliant. I want more. Saw these guys live a number of times during their late 70s, early 80s heyday. Albums were always hit or miss, but live they were the business. 'Strangers In The Night', alongside Aerosmith's 'Live Bootleg', Lizzy's 'Live And Dangerous' and The SOund's 'In The Hothouse', is one of the best live albums ever committed to tape.
Brilliant indeed! My first concert ever was UFO, Climax Blues Band and Edgar Winter. This is a great DVD. Yeah unfortunately Michael's not there but that's the great Vinnie Moore on axe and Jason Bonham on the skins. Rock on duder!
Tristan!!! You rule, I have got that MSG Reading(BBC concert) ´82 album, and there is this great story in the booklet that you wrote. Awesome record, too.
This extract is from UFO's DVD titled 'Showtime' - a double DVD, LIVE set + Studio tracks - Awesome as this 'Love to Love' solo shows. Go and Buy it, you will not be dissapointed. Tristan
Was this taken at Area 54 studio in Celle that Tommy Newton of Victory runs?
rockrabbitt 1 year ago
@rockrabbitt
No, this one was taken at Peppermint Park Studios in Hannover. But Tommy Newton did the engineering there.

that drummer sucks - ruining the feel of the song with his PIT bullshit.
and couldn't they have gotten a real rhodes and B-3?
dickravis 3 years ago
That drummer would be Jason Bonham son of the late Led Zep drummer John Bonham...
BigIndy500Fan 2 years ago
i'm well aware who he is.
ever heard the saying 'you can't get to heaven on your mama's religion'?
...he's not 5% the drummer his old man was.
