Both Army and marines talk shit and joke with eachother at home.... deployed, Its a different story. They dont sit there and say "Hey, we are better" there is no room for that in war!! They watch eachothers backs and most certainly would take a bullet for eachother.

We all do the same stuff, just in different branches with different people and skill set is all. Thats all I'm tryin to say. LOOK people the army and marines go hand in hand on most missions they're watching each others asses... everyone is fighting for our freedom not just one branch alone... this ain't call of duty kids, so stop acting like it is... everyone, army, marines, navy, and air force all do a certain job in completing our mission. So quit saying one is better than the other because last time I checked we all use the same weapons, and the only thing that really sets the branches apart is the ranking systems

people always talk about marines going to ranger school and completing it and not failing, but first ranger school is NOT ranger training, it's leadership course on how to lead other rangers, and second, its really just based on the individual, yea maybe a marine did pass it, but he had more motivation maybe than the other, and i bet alot of army guys passed up marines in RS because the individual wanted it more and was more prepared, so it doesn't matter what branch everyone has their basasses

11x just means infantry. you have to ask for an option 40 (ranger option)

I had 11X. This was about 20 years ago, but I was told that 11X is an unassigned infantry position, meaning that they could make you a mortar (C), mechanized (M), light (B), anti tank TOW gunner (H) etc.

I wound up with 11BC2 which is/was a Dragon Gunner.

RIP is Ranger Intorductinary Program, its wat you have to do to get into the ranger battalion then from there they send you to ranger school to earn your scroll

RIP is Ranger Indoctrination Program, not Introductory.

RIP is the course that a soldier must pass before he is allowed to go to a Ranger Battalion. Ranger school is a course that all Battalion soldiers must pass before attaining a leadership position. The course is also used to train small-unit leaders in other MOS's and units.

The two schools are not related, and RIP is not "basic to ranger school".

no marines arnt allowed to be seals anymore they can only be forced recon as there highest your further ahead going army so you can get better training to prepare you for special forces cause you have to be 18 for rangers and 20 for SFOD-A or SFOD-D

Right, Marines CAN'T go Delta, Seals or Special Forces (Green Berets) however they can actually go to Ranger School. Because Ranger School is considered one of the top/best Leadership Course, other branches are invited to take it. You'll even find members of the british army, Airforce, Marines, and the Navy there. HOWEVER, a Marine can't serve in a Ranger unit though, because after Ranger School, he goes back to his Marine MOS Unit.

Marines can go to ranger school and learn how to be a better infantry man, but infantry rangers are the best of the best in the ARMY, meaning marines can not become a ranger. Hope I answered your question :)

Its possible for a marine to become a ranger if he is a replacement. People from other branches in the military transfer over randomly. They don't have to do the whole boot camp thing over but they have to go to schools and they are basically seen as pvts even if they happen to be a higher rank, so I have no idea what spartan670 is talking about. True goign to Ranger school does not make one a Ranger but joining the Rangers does.

Also replacements from other branches aren't usually wanted do to the fact that they have no clue what they are doing once they go to Rangers. Just because someone was a Sgt in the Army or Marines does not mean a thing. The usually get big heads and think they don't need to listen to a Rangers advice.
