This may very well be the best video I've ever seen. The song and its arrangement are incredible and the visuals do not detract from the music(as a lot of videos do) but actually compliment the experience. I would also like to add that the newest Interpol album is their best.

This video is kind of a big deal. Can we listen to music the way we drink wine? Should be a requirement. Song verse - usually dead in all Nickelback slop - is lasting in "Lights," as it is in almost all of Interpol's songs. They tell a damn story. Visually, pretty heartbreaking too. At least in this video. Characters clearly suffering and there's a subtle suggestion of our (the listener) interlocution. Dramatic stuff when set to the right song...and that would be "Lights"

And again you see a profound trend continue in this video ...a very modern & high level surrealism. You see this everywhere from disposable pop music to hipster esoterica.
