I remember the Christmas I received the Jon Gnagy "Learn to Draw" set, I was thrilled! In less than a week, I later studied art and became a graphic designer for a college. Jon Gnagy was the start of a wonderful career.
I learned how to draw and how to play guitar thru television. Today, kids learn how to swear and act like jerks thanks to the same medium. Maybe we need more channels.
as I am part the first generation who grew up watching TV for better or worse this program is one of my earliest memories only Alzheimer's could erase it Rest in peace,mr Gnagy tank you
That was beautiful!

To create a snowy scene on a white sheet of paper is trickier than one can imagine.

Oh my... I just found these videos, and this scene is the first one I ever drew from his drawing kit.
I was 7 at the time and I will aways remember that period of my life.
I am now 60, retired from work, and will use these tutorial videos again, now that i have as much free time as I had back then...

I sat transfixed to his programs as a kid in the 50s. But why did he bisect so many of his works of art?
The man was so talented and spoke better than anyone. Man, he was such a great talent!
