This group was abosolutely awesome! They never received the accolades and credit they deserve. I also read that George wanted Five Star to open for them during the Wham farewell concert at Wimbley, but Daddy Pearson nixed it. He probably thought that Micheal would turn Stedman out, not knowing that the boy was gay from the get go.

Wham did their farewell concert in 1986 and Five Star did their first ever tour in 1986 so maybe Five Star were busy with their own tour to accompany Wham on theirs......anyway George Michael didn't come out as gay until the 90's so you're talking out of your arse there

Stedman, in a similar situation, refused to come out after being caught in the act. I wouldn't be surprised if Daddy Pearson threatened to kill Stedman if he did come out back then, which may explain the mystery of the recent event and threats. Stedman should not be forced to live in the closet all these years. Repression is a bitch!!!

yes i do know that George was forced to reveal he was gay after being caught, I never said he wasn't. I was referring to the comment you made about George turning Sted out as you put it, George didn't reveal during the 80s that he was gay so I don't get the point you're trying to make there but you go ahead and believe whatever you want if it makes you happy

There's something I've never understood. I've heard this story before and they mention it here, that Five Star got their big break when some act pulled out and they got to appear on Pebble Mill. They perform "Can't Wait.." which was 1986. Surely they were pretty successful before this. "System Addict", "RSVP", "All Fall Down" and Let Me Be The One" were all hits before that off the Luxury Of Life album, right?

It's a tongue-in-cheek in comment, as she then goes on to mention him in conjunction with the arrest in the bathrooms- not the most flattering of "sides"!
