  • Nice looking video

  • looks good but i think it has a little too much vignete

  • @MrPianozzky yeh i agree if im honest. This was when i initially made the effect, i use better settings now. Thanks for the comment though

  • OR one can download magic bullet looks and they have all the colour correction needed, but its awsome that you did it yourself, this would have saved you the hastle

  • hey nice stuff here for just messing around!! have you ever done any color correction for an indie bands video?

let me know if you might be interested.

    theblakesband@gmail.com

    thanks!

  • hallo gibts eigentlich keine vorlagen bei after effects für diverse farbeinstellungen?

  • shot next time at 24fps or 25 fps

  • Excellent work! Absolutely brilliant. One question? How did you go about making your own jib?

  • @RAINONDABEAT hey man, cheers for the comments. I basically just went to a hardware store and found some cheap, lightweight materials and based my design around them. Its basically a parrallelogram. I hope this helps, it would be best to look at some tutorials, but on my channel there is a video of me and my jib. Check it out! :) word of warning, if you are thinking of making one, youll need a good sturdy tripod, ive worked with jibs that have collapsed before now :P

  • @notraep I'll definitely have to check out that video. I'll let you see it if I actually make a jib. You should let me do your music lol.

  • this is awesome work...only thing it needs is to be a little brighter those blacks are so dark..and remove the black edges...

  • How many megapixels is your camera?

  • thats one scary place u live

  • LOL

  • Quite some work there, I hope to go to the Brit school so I can do Media, also, how do you do the blacked out edges? That the only thing I can't do.

    Thanks.

  • @itgamer100 hey, if you create a 'circle', then invert it and change the colour of it to black. Then change it so that the layer mode is 'normal'. Then adjust the size of the circle and the feather to your liking. I hope this helps.

  • @notraep Hmm.. I dont know how to do that, but I have found an effect in the editor (Adobe Prem Pro cs5) called "edge feather" seams to do the same, well thanks for your help.

  • Nice. How did you get those dark, cloudy edges? thx.

  • What effects did you use?

  • NIce shots!! how did u do the one starting at 1:07?!?! LOVED IT!

  • @ILUVFFANDKH hey man, cheers for the compliment! :) that shot was done in a Camera Crane or 'Jib' as it is known. I made my one myself, but you can buy them online, they can be expensive so that is why i made mine myself for about £70 - Hope this helps man

  • @notraep Right! that's what I was thinking,, need to make one of those! thank you!! and I'm a girl btw lool :P

  • @ILUVFFANDKH haha sorry :S but gald to have helped...even if i did call you 'man' several times :P

  • @notraep lol no problem! :)

  • @notraep 108 US Dollars o.o. Hope you do a full film with it xD

  • any tutorial for this???

  • I think this is also an excellent demo of the use of music to change mood. The whole thing feels "cold war". Zooming in on a dirty sign. Frosted grass hills. A car passes. It's all "normal" and yet something feels "uncomfortable" and "dangerouse" for no other reasons than the colouration AND the music used. I like :D

  • I liked the tree shots a lot in the middle of the first minute, seemed a bit surreal, like it was going to change into an illustration...

  • from what movie is this trailer?

    nice work

  • excellent.nice work

  • How did you achieve that black out of focus circle surrounding the edges?

  • well done

  • how can i put this effect like widescreen like your video?!!

  • @angelooo97 i exported this in WMV HD to ensure the video came out widescreen, if you want to the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen, you can use the Crop effect or insert a new title, go on the template option, go to Letterbox crop - hope this helps

  • @angelooo97 videcopilot has presets for that.....simple way create black solid and scale down actual video....you gonna have letterbox effect

  • thumbs up if any editor are seeing this :)

  • @ASSASSINMACHETE well there is no point to this video as being a story telling exercise, its simply to display the effect that i have managed to achieve, im not trying to tell a story

  • @notraep the effect is well done

but u already have a great cuts just a few adjustments and its epic :) u got a cool soundtrack it fits the effect and the cuts

  • its ready like a haunted house except the street with the passing car if u get a shot of that street without the car and get a shadow layer and composition it as a ghost that would be O.O really great

  • like when we put the cuts we should arrange them to tell a story + when we do a transition we should pick one that supports our story like using large wipe for transition between 2 cuts that were taken in different planets :)

last thing i wanna say is your cuts is morethan 10 seconds u should pick very very small cuts in video clips for songs u pick cuts of 1~4 seconds cut for a movie u should choose between showing the speaker or the hearing expression

    in a documentary u pick 10 seconds + cut

  • cool effect man yet we editors are story tellers and ive some notes for this video

the first thing it has no story just a bunch of pictures

2nd whats the link of the car,the tree, the house and the riding on the hill behind the house?

    no link at all

+ u made something cool of that circle of focus the black in corners so u would make us focus on the cat not the corners cool effect yet whats the point

we editors should pick our videos and when we work on it should be very very careful

  • I'm getting Adobe Premiere Elements 10 and you said that you could achieve a similar look in that program. Would you mind sending some written instructions on how to do so? I would really appreciate it.

  • That was incredible. Seemed like the start of a horror movie.

  • @notraep, amazing work.. You think I can get the written instructions as well. Would really love to try this..thanks in advanced

  • is it adobe premiere elements 10.????

  • @miyulnews no, sorry, i was using adobe premier pro CS4. A snimilar kind of look can be achieved in elements though.

  • @notraep HOW MUCH YOU PAID FOR THAT.?

  • @miyulnews my friend had a spare copy

  • Amazing!!! What was the music that you used? =D

  • could you tell me how to get that appearance? is it a plugin or settings? I've been looking all over on how to get that in premiere!

  • That was very nice for a bunch of random shots... I think I might have to invest in Adobe sooner than I thought!

  • wow this looks great! Would you mind a tutorial in exchange of me giving your credit to your video? Thanks a bunch man!

  • @PestVic hey man, yeh that'd be great thanks. What ill do is send you a written instruction on how to do it, its what i usually do, would this be ok?

  • @notraep sure that would be perfect :)

  • epic!

  • @BeSimonful cheers man

  • @notraep thanks alot, i thought that might have been it. one more question. when I uploaded my video from my computer, the quality was not good at all. looked like it had been done on a cell phone. Im seriously computer illiterate so what do I do to keep the quality? Compress it? render it? I have no clue haha

  • @MrSmith4545 just make sure that you export it with a decent codec (codec is the file type) so i would reccomend for quality, export in AVI or WMV, whereas if you want you videos to upload fast, use FLV or F4V, but some quality is lost if you do that. You dont nessecarily need to render to footage but it will speed up the exporting process. Hope this helps

  • great footage, I have a question for you. How do you upload your footage on here while keeping the widescreen in tact. when I uploaded my stuff it fills up the entire screen, I HATE THAT! haha, please help

  • @MrSmith4545 hey man, what i did was crop, not shrink, but crop the video in my editor a bit - this makes it look more animorphic and more similar to film. But also makes that widescreen effect you were talking about. You can either crop the video, or put a layer on-top of the video that just has the black bars at the top and bottom - thats how i do it, hope it helps (anymore questions just ask :) )

  • Could you please tel me where to buy this music or who made it?

    Thanks!

  • @Bosnimf31 hey man, the music is from a CD thing you can buy from website called Video Copilot, look it up on google. The product is called Pro Scores, its basically like a CD of loads of royalty free music, so no copyright issues, there is some good stuff on there

    hope this helps man

  • @notraep

Found it !:-) many thankx for you quick response!

  • could you make a tutorial on which effects you used on the video please

  • @PJ619Dalcour hey man, if i have time i will, but what i can do is inbox you on youtube a full list of instructions, i did this with the other people who have asked and it helped them. Ill send it through to you soon, i hope it helps, if not get back to me

  • amazing man! how about fps? i think the camera has 24fps, so did you make this video slower in adobe premier? Thank you :)

  • @rosnik4 hey man, cheers. Erm, well its says it can do 24fps on the camera but as far as i can tell that is a load of bull. The lowest it goes to is about 25fps, but that comes out with quite blurry motion in the footage. So i filmed this at 50fps with the camera on 'cinema mode' which basically deinterlaces the footage. I then edited and exported it in 25fps - hope this helps man

  • hi i have the panasonic sdhd700 but are using sony vegas pro 10. am downloading currently adobe premiere pro cs5 but wondered how did you create a jib/crane for your camera?

  • @MRSRecordsTV hey, i made it myself with my dad, i did a previous video on it, have a look at my channel, its called 'Jib facts and part tutorial' - its had the sound removed but you get to see it in action. All you need know is that a jib/camera crane functions as a 'parallelogram'. hope this helps

  • How did thouse bars (letterbox) in premiere pro? WOuld be nice if you could help out ;)

  • How are you doing that rising effect?

  • @neivin93 Give me an example, but i presume you mean the shots done on the Jib. Look up camera Jib or Camera Crane on the web, i made my one myself.

  • @notraep good vid, whats the price of that camera? i want it, but i dont know the price

  • @MrArenzHomesick i got my Panasonic HDC SD100 on line, this is because panasonic dont make or stock the model anymore, so i had to buy second hand, but it was only about 1 month out of production, so still state of the art. I got it off ebay for about £450, but when new they cos about £550. Now you should be able to get them for less than that at about £300 i would imagine.

Hope this helps - to see some footage with no effects, there is a video on my channel (panasonic hdc sd 100 first test)

  • Sorry pressed enter to early. What is the name of that vid, i cant found it =D

  • @DJ0KNUF 'jib facts and part tutorial ' the audio got removed by youtube thought, but you get the idea :P

  • Thank:

  • awesome, i like the shot at 1:08 how you did that?!

  • @DJ0KNUF Hey, i used a Camera crane, its known as a Jib by most people. There are many about on the internet as you;d expect. they go for around £400 up to over £1000, so they are quite expensive, but i bult this one myself for about £60 - so much better than buying for which is essentially the same for alot more. There is a video of my camera crane/jib on my channel actually, take a look if youre interested :)

    Hope this helped

George GDP (of Crazy Productions films)

  • Hello George! My name's Jose.

I love your video, nothing is bad.

I've got three questions about your video:

    1. I think you've got a camera crane, isn't it? There are some tall shots with the camera above the ground, so I think it...

    2. Is the cat yours? It seems the main character... ;)

3.What's the name of the music? You wrote it was added at the last minute, but you didn't write the name. Can you write me the name, please?

Thank you, Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!

    Jose S.J.D.

  • @Gonso96

he doesn't have a crane but 2 legs

  • @dierenfreak10 Really?!

  • very good! do you have a tutorial for this? i'm using premiere pro

  • @arda2006 hey, i dont have a video tutorial but i can send you a message telling you how, one minute...

  • wow!!!! You should make a tutorial about color correction. You did it very well... Do it or just let me know the attributes you used or some tips!!!

    Congrats

  • @edgarcanashoy hey, sorry i didnt get back to you sooner, was on holiday. It all depends on what software you have really, what do you use?

  • @notraep I use Adobe Premiere CS4. I also wanna know how did you do to make it 1080p because i tried and tooke me 2 days to upload it on youtube and that was 2 weeks ago and it is still processing... LoL. Thanks

  • @notraep I use Adobe Premiere CS4. I also wanna know how did you do to make it 1080p because i tried and tooke me 2 days to upload it on youtube and that was 2 weeks ago and it is still processing... LoL. Thanks

  • very nice, at 0:21 what did u use for that scene

  • well, the one of the grass hill was he holding my trippod, and the one of the street is on my DIY jib/ Camera Crane.

    Glad you enjoyed it :)

  • wow very nice, at 0;21 what did u use to get that shot?

  • this is really good color correction and manipulation.

  • thanks very much! If u need advice/help/tips on how to achieve this look, just ask :)

  • i actually just made a really quick video on this topic after seeing this. it should be up soon. if you would like to see it.

  • yeah that would be great!

  • Hey! I liked this 5/5

  • Excellent video. I have to watch it again on my calibrated mac, at home.

  • thanks for the comment, and also for the help :)

  • Looks really really great, the only thing which is a little disturbing in opinion is the slightly darkened corners, it should be done less! For the rest keep going!

  • thanks for your comment, about that, those black bits will be cut off when it comes to being on DVD played back on a TV. which is what im aming for lol, but yeah it looks dodgey on Youtube i admit, anyway cheers for the interest!

  • Looks good george :)

  • wow awsome shots geroge!

  • Some real nice shots in there mate! Nice effects too! Keep it up :D

  • Very interesting, I will take note. Nice camera quality as well.

  • This looks really snazzy... I love the shots with the trees, really haunting. ^_^
