i was read manga a little bit & i must say, story in manga is better + more jokes, but for the anime i must say, ending sucks, the need to make season 2 or OVA what is new ending, what shows what happen'd to Meg Jo Sei Amy Takane Leo & Kyohei after the battle & did Maria real'y die or did she survive, i bet Sei & Jo survived & Meg will meet up with Jo later, et least i want to see it that way :)

why do anime always have either a sucky ending, an ending in wich the main character dies, or no ending?

still a wonderful series though. would have been nice if they had continued with it.

@anyakuno about the main character's death i don't know but... a lot of the animes are based on the manga but don't pass 26 episodes, only if it's a extreme success, but the mangas aren't so short.

the result is: or no ending, they just stop in the middle of the manga story

or a sucky, speed maked ending (to say there is one)
