Is it safe to stand that close to a tornado?

I'm always too petrified to sleep during a thunderstorm because I'm afraid a tornado will come and kill me and my whole family.

I live in London, though. This happened when I was two years old.

I remember this well. I lived in St. Thomas at the time but to this day, I've never seen lightning like I did that day. It was a scary day, all around.

omg i was so young when that happened, i remember seeing it from my moms garden. But yeah it was just a funnel cloud......i was so excited to see it touch down(tornados amazed me when i was a wee lad)

As I recall that was merely a funnel cloud in the northeast end of the city, although it came very close to touching down.

That looks to be Copps Buildall on York St in the background, but I'm not entirely sure.
