  • Great video.

  • @ArcticQuestPowder Thanks for that. The Ski Prophet digs your Channel too, everyone should subscribe to it! Keep watching SkiGearTV as we're starting to showcase next season's 2013 Models for the Ski Prophet's "2013 Buyer's Guide". There will be some surprises and some new technology that'll blow you away. Take care >>>

  • Demo'd JJ, Bent Chetler and S7 last season. The S7's was more fun/floaty in powder, but the JJ and Bent Chetler did better on hard pack.

  • It was between the JJ's and Bent chetlers, I had to go with the atomic bent chetlers, so if you are considering these skis, you should also check out the Atomic Bent Chetlers, very similar skis too!

  • This is one of the most exciting skis I've ever tried.

  • Calling this a powder ski is way too restrictive. It's good everywhere. In Utah, I'm on this ski 80 to 90% of the time...not only on powder days.

  • @kayakutah We agree, the Armada JJ is truly an all-mountain, all-terrain ski. We've tested the JJ in almost all conditions (save for Eastern Ice) and it's one of the most versatile skis we've ever tried.

  • have they made any changes to the ski since 2009? such as changes to the weight of the ski?

  • how does it perform in tight powdery eastcoast glades? also wondering if i should get the 175, or 185. im 5'10 150 lbs. Thanks.

  • @AmaziinqVids Can't say we tested them "back east" but we loved them in the tight trees of the Mary Jane in Colorado and they performed flawlessly. With the rockered tips and tails the JJ's ski a bit shorter than their actual length, but either length should work for you, it's more a matter of how much deep powder you ski. If it's a lot then go with the 185. Check our site RateSkiGear(dot)com for reviews of the Armada JJ.

  • @AmaziinqVids What glades are you skiing? Buckeroo Banzai at Jay? Kinsman Glades at Cannon? Please go to our other site Rate SkiAreas.com and rate your favorite eastern ski resorts.

  • @SkiGearTV lol i just skied backeroo bonzai yesterday! good guess. i dont think im going to get these skis because if i did i would need to make room for two pairs of skis (can't ski the jj's everyday in the east). and my wallet is not that deep. thanks for all the info.

  • @AmaziinqVids Yeah Buckeroo Bonzai was the first tree run at Jay we ever did (way back in the day).

  • hey would you recommend these for a 14 year old im 178 in length and i weigh 74 kilos?

  • @mrsachimi1 Our recommendation would be to see if Armada is participating in a demo day at a ski resort near you and try them. Or see if you can rent a demo pair of JJ's at a ski shop. Nothing beats "try before you buy".

  • @mrsachimi1 Im 23, 85kg and 176cm tall. I ride the 185 JJ. I would defiantly recommend these for you! They are super durable too. Ive skied 2 full seasons on em between France and BC and they are still super lively. You sound like your big for your age so just get a pair and youll love em.

  • hey

im 5'7 , and i weigh around 120 so is the 175 a good size for me?? and if i was to try and get sponsored by armada what would i have to do and what would i have to be able to do to get sponsored???

    thanks

  • @droycush Well you only have the choice of 175 or 185 and at your height and weight the 175 model would probably be the best fit. As for getting sponsored by Armada you'd have to contact them for their requirements. Good luck.

  • hi there

this ski really seems interesting to me, but cause im 6'3, the 185 is still too short for me.

can u plz tell me when and where i will be able to buy the jumbo jj? (with 195 cm, am i right?)

  • @looking4musics Good question, we doubt that you'll see a production model of the JJ at that length. But you never know, contact Armada through their website.

  • @looking4musics You might want to check out this season's Rossignol S7, it now comes in a 195 cm length. It's slightly wider in the waist (117mm) than the shorter models (115mm). The S7 also features rockered, reverse-camber and reverse side-cut technology.

  • lol they still call it jj even though julien left armada.

  • well im 5'4 what size should i get the 175 or 185

  • The 175 should be fine. One of our testers is 5'5 and he loved the 175

  • @snowboardALLday21 185, next years model doesnt come in 175, itll be 185 & 191or195, the shorter version is useless, the ski rides short with the rocker as it is, go for 185, its not too heavy

  • Will the two sizes remain the same for 2011? And if I understood that correctly, the edge and camber underfoot is longer this year? Any other changes, I like the artwork better too.

  • Both the 175 & 185 have the same dimensions 126-136/115/133-121 the 175 has a turning radius of 12m and the 185 is 14m.

  • @Jcfdny26 no, itll be 185 and 191or195. i dont think any other change has been made to the design of the ski other than the topsheet and design

  • trop beaux!!!!

  • @powder4ever Sweet skis!
