Oh dear goodness. Stop taking offense to this video. Im from somalia, Proud and all about my colour, but lets be realistic people. some (not all) woman of colour do attempt to become lighter. Now other woman lighten there skin in attempts to create an even skin tone. This should not be done, but it is. Just as a Caucasian should not tan to avoid skin carcinoma. This was a good video. I like that she recommended products that are free of hydroquinone which is known to cause ochronosis. Black people and other people of color have more melanin in the skin which reacts differently than white skin when certain chemicals are applied. This video does not advocate skin bleaching, it simply demonstrates the safe way to correct pigmentation issues in brown skinned individuals such as myself. Thank you!

To me if your dark skinned, there's no need to bleach. Drink plenty of water, eat healthy so that your skin can breathe, bathe two times daily and if you want, use skin care products that help keep the skin looking fresh. Oh dear goodness. Stop taking offense to this video. Im from somalia, Proud and all about my colour, but lets be realistic people. some (not all) woman of colour do attempt to become lighter. Now other woman lighten there skin in attempts to create an even skin tone. This should not be done, but it is. Just as a Caucasian should not tan to avoid skin carcinoma. This was a good video. I like that she recommended products that are free of hydroquinone which is known to cause ochronosis. Black people and other people of color have more melanin in the skin which reacts differently than white skin when certain chemicals are applied. This video does not advocate skin bleaching, it simply demonstrates the safe way to correct pigmentation issues in brown skinned individuals such as myself. Thank you!

I believe that this woman had no intention of telling black skinned people that their skin tone needs to be corrected because isn't beautiful. Just like some white skinned people want to gain a darker complexion by tanning, some black skinned people want a lighter complexion. Granted, I don't agree with her advice as much of it can cause cancer, but I don't see a reason to pick on her weight or skin color. That's really cruel.

The funny part is that this video was probably posted because there are lots of black people out there looking to lighten their skin. I think she's just talking about ways that you can go about that without turning the skin white. Not telling people to lighten their skin, but giving advice so black people aren't burning out their skin in an attempt to make it white. I'm black too and I have soo many friends who have tried/wanted to do this. It happens.

Although the vid could probably use a name change, that tiny tube of lightener is not going to have the Micheal Jackson effect on us. Its used to lighten blimishes due to skin damage or scaring (basically what she said in the video lol). I am blk and very proud to be but I use the product b/c I have sensitive skin that reacts badly to shaving and hair removal.

Everybody in here, why are you so offended by this video? If a person decides for whatever reason that they want to lighten their skin tone, what's the problem there? Some people may want to lighten their skin to smooth over discolorations and get rid of uneven patches. Some people may want to do it to feel more secure in themselves or avoid racial discrimination. Let people do what they want.

I'm half black and half white, and i NEED lightning cream not because I want to be white, or because i dont think black is beautiful, but because I have a very very uneven skin tone. In some places im almost as dark as my mom and in other places i'm almost as white as my dad.

To me if your dark skinned, there's no need to bleach. Drink plenty of water, eat healthy so that your skin can breathe, bathe two times daily and if you want, use skin care products that help keep the skin looking fresh. There's no need to bleach your skin, if you take good care of your skin then the beauty comes naturally. That's what i think.
This lady is tryin to help the Dark skins who feel they need bleaching, so that they don't damage their skin and receive the worst end of bleaching.
