Great PSA. I love how the guitar wails and dies off at the end, just when the camera reveals that Mark is dead and in a coffin. We need more public service announcements today that get right to the point and scare the shit out of people. Let's face it, AIDS is something you can't sugarcoat. Whatever happened to advertising creatives who had the balls to make stuff like this?

Wow really? If extreme scare tactic commercials were their way of encouraging safety and getting tested they DEFINITELY failed in that area. lol This would only stir paranoia. I remember the D.A.R.E drug-free commercials, growing up, but not these. lol Then again, ppl knew little of the disease in the 80s, so the message was just don't get it. HIV/ AIDS testing nowadays is quick and painless, so wrap it up, be safe or simply abstain from sex guys! ;-)

When I was riding/walking to work very early in the morning, replaying the end of this ad in my head, especially the winding down of the music, creeped me the fuck out. This ad works.

I'm glad I didn't see that as a kid! It would have traumatized me. One of the creepiest commercials ever. Anyone know what year it first aired?

This PSA is creepy and aired around the same time as the 'AIDS-Don't Get It' PSAs. But it's not as creepy as the one consommenteur uploaded.
