@photolitherland, a decent harp of the size you're seeing and hearing here really doesn't cost any more than a decent guitar. And yes, there are some really cheap (and cheap-sounding) guitars out there, just like there are some really cheap (and cheap-sounding) harps out there too!
Harper, I was talking about you today...after a morning with my small 22 string harp. I remember your workshop "Getting the Most from your Small Harp". I told my husband I'm going to play my small harp more and maybe record with it! This piece was inspiring! Tammy W.
You old romantic, you! This piece is just as beautiful as always. I have an online student who is having trouble with her right shoulder and wants to try this piece!
Oh my god, this is the first time I have ever seen a harp played, this is truly amazing. I want to learn harp now, I know drums, Piano, and bass, it would fit perfectly, for an extravagant mix.
Dear Harper Tasche, I went to your festival many year's ago on the Island.A harper friend came over from Montana and we spent two wonderful day's listening to your music along with the other talented musician's..I baught your CD then and love it, Heading home is my favorite...So glad to finelly see you here..Blessings....Sharon
Harper, This is lovely. Thanks so much for a one-handed piece. Since I can only use one hand, I am thrilled! I guess it won't make any difference if I play it with my right hand.
Please, may I request more bowed psaltery/harp pieces, too? They sound so lovely together.
Thanks Janine! Of course you can play this piece with either hand. And thanks for the encouragement to do more combining bowed psaltery and harp, I think they sound great together too.
Thanks Betsy! The cross-strung material will probably be here in a couple of weeks; on this program I played the Bach "Preludio," the traditional Finnish "Tuoll' on mun kultani" (the arrangement in my cross-strung book), and my original "The Seldom Inn" (which is on the list for my next folk harp book, probably available in spring 2009). I'm sure you'll have fun with those pieces too!

If you can play like this, you don't have to worry about holding your sweetheart's hand, you will already be holding her heart. Beautiful song.

Thanks Janine!
Of course you can play this music using just the right hand too -- have fun!
More harp videos will be posted over the next few weeks.
I may do some video performances with the bowed psaltery in the future but I don't have anything to post currently. Thanks for asking!

Thanks Andy!
It's such a joy to create music for an instrument that is so beautiful -- there's nothing like harp.

Very touching and beautiful. Love it! Is the sheet music available? I would love to learn it. Are you usually left handed?

Hi Mary-Lela!
"Just You" is in my book "A Small Harp Keeping Warm" and on my CD "Bringing It Home" which are available through my website.
And I'm actually very right-handed. :-)
