For a couple reasons..

First I know a bunch of these songs and so do my friends and I'm in Middle School...You don't have to be old to love these songs and Nirvana came out in the 90s and Evanescence in the 00s and RHCP are NOT from fifty years ago...more like born 50 years ago lol ,Black Eyed Peas are from the 90s AND 00's and WTF Eminem wasn't even alive 50 years ago...

I like some of the songs. beatles, elton, who, nirvana. no offence man but some one needs to introduce you to bob dylan, jim morrison, beck, brad nowels, jimi hendrix, immortal technique, and other people. songs like hotel california do not need to be in this list. its just an example how over hype and over playing songs can make decent songs "classics"

Well said. Keep in mind however that this list is nearly a year old, and my taste in music has definitely grown since then. If I were to make this again today, it would be much different.
