you play F# and C# on your left hand ( on 6/8 ) and then the F# chord on your right hand.

Then, when october begins, you put your left hand on the B and then on F# ( following the pulse ) and on the right hand a B minor with the 6th grade ( G# ). It's a shame that almost nobody knows this group. It is also unfortunate that no one is interested in this music. Bad music people dance in clubs while a large minority looking under rocks songs like this, which unfortunately are so few and so hard to hear in concert. I love how it's filmed through the staircase. The music is so pretty and haunting. I can usually sort of eventually get tired of a band and move on to the next thing... but Beirut is so fresh and exciting all the time... I'm more hooked than ever before. Their music makes me wish for more.

no, Zach (the lead singer) is from NM, USA, some of the other members are from other places in europe i think, none of them is from beirut however, i heard somewhere that Beirut is Zach's favourite city or something like that

In his NPR interview, Zach said the name was chosen somewhat at random because he liked the sound of it. The interviewer suggested that the name was fitting because Beirut is a very international city, a place where Old Europe meets the Middle East. Zach said he liked that idea.
