Wait a second, Sarah Palin said the same thing "it should rest in the hands of the states. I'm a federalist". Obviously she was fed the line, but doesn't a federalist believe in a strong national government? Why would a federalist believe that it is a state decision?

i am from indiana and i hate mitch daniels because of his blatant disregard for HUMAN rights. Lower housing taxes may mean the people are spending less money, but it also means that we are not giving the government enough money to move forwards as we have. PLEASE vote for Obama instead of Daniels, because as an INdiana citizen i know that Mitch Daniels is the WORST person who should be part of the government.

Who is going to stand up for the innocent and helpless child? At what state of development does an abortion become unacceptable? Obviously there are plenty of premature births that result in babies that survive and live productive lives.

What about the pain factor for the aborted child? We have animal rights people who would be adamantly opposed to suffering for the animal. But will they defend the child? We need to value human life above all things. It is the greatest thing on earth.

So, here's my take on Roe v. Wade: Me personally, I wouldn't want my girl to have an abortion because I'd rather the child lives than dies. But at the same time, if a mother decides to have an abortion, then that's her decision; it's none of our business on what decision she makes.

For the record, Obama did vote against health care practitioners giving care to babies who were meant to be aborted but survived. He thought it was fine to let the baby die. Look it up....he voted against it 3 times.  And what does equal pay for equal work have to do with this issue?

@Sueezee1 That is almost true, Sue....it does still happen, and when it does, Obama thinks that they should not have to give that baby medical attention when it does survive. It's pretty sad that we had to pass legislation making it REQUIRED that medical staff must attend to a live infant. Nice Pro Choice country we live in and all....... and it is something that I worry my prettly little head about. I don't like the idea of infants being left to die in the dirty laundry closet...

The ONLy time live infants were born was when saline abortions were used and they arent used any more...and THAT is the reason they arent used anymore. McCain is totally right on this issue, Obama's just being sneaky. If you agree with a bill, why don't you sign it into a law? If Obama rejected that bill because he thought it would undermine Roe v. Wade, but he supported what it did, then it sounds like he's either a hypocrite, or he's really just a pro-abortion supporter at heart.
