i have so much problems with this part because my left hand is to small for the complet akkord or just plaing one note after the other

    (sry my english..^^)

  • @mushukiwi

I'm fortunate that I can reach a tenth comfortably and an eleventh at a push. Play the chord arpeggiated and you should be fine. One of my piano teachers, a female one, could just about reach an octave and yet somehow she coped...ha ha.

  • Adoro Orgoglio e Pregiudizio, sia il libro che il film,e la colonna sonora é magnifica, così romantica!!!Cavolo,ti fa sognare.

  • I love how each peice of his has a suttle difference.

(: God, this movie is a blessing.

  • Thanks everyone....i love the film too...I've picked it up cheap on HD-DVD (yes that dead format) but have got to watch it again...seen it about 4 times already, but not as much as some people here..lol!

The music is so easy to buy.....try any music shop...even Amazon or Ebay I'm sure. Just dont buy the "easy piano" version.

    Gae41

  • seems very improvable. Im sure if you add octaves on the left hand, and went faster, you'd sound maestro like. lol thats what i do to lots of easy pieces.

  • the music is meant to sound very simple and have a thin veil like quality flowing and sweet the octaves would make it sound clumpy! just because they dont play hundreds of notes doesnt mean they dont play well... the piece is played brilliantly just because it conveys the emotion

  • clumpy my butt. It would only sound clumpy if it had chords in the bass. yuck. that sounds all muddy and gross. isnt' this a piece from pride and prejudice?

  • but then it would loose the emotion you see that is the nice thing of this music it is so smple and so wonderfull

  • when i play this piece i feel to light and wonderful.

    great job

  • Very very beatiful. I have the solo piano book from the movie and this coulpe is very hard to learn. I'm impressed :D

  • J'aime ,c'est magnifique

    Parfait !

  • im gunna learn to play this for one of my assessments

its like the best piano i have ever heard

    inspiring ....

were did you get the sheet music from and does anyone knoe were you can get it for free?

  • does anyone know a site where you can get the sheet music for free?

  • Usually you can't, but I ordered the same book he is using for $10.46 on amazon or ebay or something (I can't remember). You can find it fairly cheap if you look for it.

There might be a version on the iPaper Scribd, but no promises - I haven't looked yet.

  • never mind i've already gotten it from someone on pianofiles

    thanks anyways

  • i wish i played piano just to play the songs from this movie, but i play the guitar.... so....

    well done by the way

  • hahahha same here~

  • lol its not just me who is goin mad with this music then!! I play the saxophone and I went and bought the music and I'm now trying to play it on a keyboard that hasnt enough keys on it! I'm so determined to play all these beautiful songs!!

  • you are an amazing pianist!! i am going to be starting next year as a beginner. Any suggestions for an aspiring pianist. I sing opera so I am playing not only because knowing how to play makes it easier to learn your music but also because I love piano!!

  • this is so inspirational! I'm going to work harder on my piano now, i've always wanted to play this piece after obsessively watching the movie.

oh yeah and i found out i've been playing the introduction wrong :S

  • haha me too lol I am so obsessed with that movie. It made me start looking up how to read music so I could play this and Dawn.

  • Same here, haha.

  • This movie really DOES make people go crazy! I've watched it at LEAST 30 times already, and I'm still not sick of it! Also, I've been frantically searching for the piano score for Mrs. Darcy. Anyone know where I can get it?

  • same here!

  • Yes, it really does! I was just looking for some random movie to rent from HBO and I happend upon Pride and Prejudice and fell in love! I can't even remember how many times I've seen the movie, and I've read the novel a couple times, too. I can't imagine ever getting tired of it :]

  • This is the only movie that I can watch weekly and I NEVER get sick of it! It's just perfect! Everything about it is so beautiful! The scenery, the music, the people, the era, the romance. I'm in love with the movie haha

  • well, i think you have to buy it, because it is protected by copyright.

I bought the book 3 days ago =] i'm waiting for it to arrive :) :)

  • i love this piece!!

listening it is beautiful and the feeling is very very fantastic!

  • You play really beautifully ^-^ in all the pieces from Pride and Prejudice you really capture the emotion, mood, and tempo.

  • gae41, how long have u been playing the piano? it's sounds utterly gorgeous.

  • Thank you Beatlesrockmusic.

I've only been playing for about 30 years!! lol

    Gae

  • Gae41,ONLY 30 years. thats amazing, most people quit after six. You just gave me inspiration not to quit. thanks

  • Your piano playing is lovely~

Oooh, I'm going to watch Pride and Prejudice right now! :]

  • I really want to buy the Pride and Prejudice Piano Solo Book! The music is wonderful~

  • Thanks so much for uploading the songs from the Pride and Prejudice 2005 movie!! I enjoyed listening to them

  • could you tell me, please, what music from this book you think is the hardest and what do you think is the easier? thanks.

  • Hi Laravox, It's difficult to say really. I dont find any of the pieces that hard really but it all depends how you learn. If you memorize a piece to learn it then there are a lot of notes in the R.H. of "Liz at the Top of the World" but "Stars and Butterflies" is probably readable to play. I guess you really need to find out for yourself as we all learn and play in different ways.

    Gae41

  • You already have most of it then because part of Mrs. Darcy is in Dawn

  • i wanna learn to play this! i already have "Dawn"

  • wow, you just play it really well! You really capture all the sentiment of the song.

  • love this

  • excellent!

  • Where'd you get this music sheet from?

  • CleMonPink...simple. The "Pride and Prejudice" Piano Solo book available from any music shop.

  • you know what? LOVELY! You really got the talent:-)

  • It is played on teh piano and the slow part (0:44) is orchestra. the end is also played with piano . from 2:19 it is piano again. I only have the piano parts but i just adore this song

  • I recognised that the beginning and end of this song comes from the song song 'dawn'. I'm watching all your videos and they're so lovely!

  • god,ive found it finally finally,i just love this song

  • i bought this same sheet music a while ago, and i just wanted to tell you that you sound fantastic!! watching this actually really helped with my own expression... your timing really enhances the song and i was so impressed by the fluidity of the "climax" or whatever you want to call the beginning of the last movement (i always have trouble with finger placement). anyways sorry for the annoying comment, keep up the great work!!!! :) <3

  • Thanks for all the kind comments. Its nice to know that the film/music's inspiration that I have felt and tried to capture in my performances, has been passed on to others.

    Gae41

  • Wow!..You're awsome!..I saw you performing Dawn too and you are really great! I think I will start taking piano lessons soon...I really love it!

  • mr. darcy and lizzy doesnt kiss each other in the german version.. only in the american ending as they are talking in pemberley...i love it <3

  • I love this song. Thanks for posting!

  • It plays in sections at the end when Darcy and Liz are asking Mr. Bennett's permission to marry. It comes in again on the final shot of Mr. Bennett and into the End Titles.

  • Lovely. Isn't this the piece played when Darcy and Elizabeth kiss at the end and during the end credits?
