I have the new smaller one and I also love it. I lose about 8 - 12 LBS. a week. I find my self trying to push and top my last calorie burn My high so far is 8853 calories in a day.
Hi, I am Alex. I am trying to losse weight. I was first looking for a calorie watch, but needed one that counted my all day calorie burn and found this device which I honestly never heard of until today. I know you don't use it to loose weight, but I am sure you know or would recommend it to some one who is, right? When you wear it for example a whole day, you log on tho the website, and do you connect it with a USB? I mean...does it actually download your daily progress on to their website?
My BodyBugg coach said the graph shows an average of how many calories you burn per 6 minutes, not per minute. I initially thought it was a breakdown of minute for minute too though...
No you are suppose to take it off when you sleep and taking a shower it is not water proof. Only for the first two days you should wear it for 24 hours just so that it will get an accurate account of your body. After that you only wear it when you are awake and active during your day.
why would you even wanna take a shower with it on you wanna scrub every inch of your body and with that in the way would be an issue even if it was water proof
Ohmygosh...I couldn't lose a pound without my bodybugg. Gone are the diets. I know if I have a daily deficit of 500 calories, I lose 1 pound a week. I swim and walk, but it's neat to find out how much I burn when I do other activities. I got up during the night (I'm a night eater) and had a cup of frozen yogurt with chocolate topping. This morning, I cleaned house for 2 hours, burned 500 calories. So I made up for the night eating and burned another 200. It WORKS!!
I love this devise. I don't know how people loose weight without it. I don't even feel like I am dieting. I just eat what I like and I know now how much I can eat and how much I need to move.
MIA = Missing In Action... I saw your video but the comments where blocked. I think they were doing youtube updating or something so I couldn't comment on it...
I have to check that out. Haven't really heard a lot about it. Maybe I'm living in a tunnel or something. But my metabolism is JACKED!!! I definitely could use it. Thanks for the info.
That Body Bug might be good for me, esp as I am so suspicious of my metatbolism as I get older. The machines (stairmaster etc) at the gym are telling me at the intensity I work out that I am burning about 200 cal in a 20 min session; and I do an hour so that is 600 cal. I don't bother to calibrate for my height & weight on the machine (wastes workout time!) but instead just assume that as I am a short 35yo I am only burning 300 cal (As the machines prob work it out for a 65 kg woman).
And then I don't even take it into account in my daily cal count bc I have always known those daily estimates are incorrect! They were made when people used to get up at 5am, milk the cow, then walk 5 miles to plough fields all day ;)
Yes you are right! When children where walked to scchool, when we changed the channels on the tv on our own. When there were no delivery or drive throughs. When we got dressed up and took a bus downtown. yeah we do not do these things so much. I think a normal office job person burns about 12-1500 cal a day.
Also! I looked it up online and those machines like the stairmaster and what not beef up calories burned anywhere from 50-75%. Can you believe that! I would come home thinking I just burned 2000 Calories on top of a (so called average)additional 2000 I can consume 4000 calories and not gain any weight! No wonder people go to the gym for one week don't see results and get discouraged. I'm ranting to you by the way...lol
I actually was thinking of you the most as a person who would benefit from this. You are the only subscriber (I think) that is obsessive about working out. It's sweat proof but not water proof. So you would have to take it off in the shower. But it will take an average of your calories burned for any time frame you are not wearing it.
TRUE! Very True. But you seem to have a realistic idea of the calories you burned in a day. Working at the gym I bet everyone knows that those machines are bull when it comes to an accurate reading of calories burned.
Seeing as how I just got a new ipod, there no way i can convince my husband that I need this. :( It look so cool and I would be obsessed with the numbers for sure.
Yep. The wake up call is when you work out and the machines tell you you've burned 1000 calories and you find out it is more like 500 And thanks for Subscribing!
You'll love it. OR you'll hate but regardless it speaks the truth. I had a wake up call. I'll just tell you this if you work out and use the machine to tell you how many calories you've burned. Cut that in half.
I knew those machines lied a long time ago and I get annoyed when people are like "Oh, I just burned 1000 cals in 2 hours". I just roll my eyes! haha!
I haven't seen this before, but I am definitely going to go check it out. This made me want one. Thanks for showing it! Since it's with you all the time, did you name it? I am already thinking up potential names for when I get one. :)
You make me wanna go get one! I need to get my metabolism in order. So.. It tells you how many calories you should burn? Also.. How much do they cost?
Yea, it will show you how many calories your body is burning every minute of a 24 hour time spand. It uses your own body heat, sweat, etc to measure it so it is the closest you can get to an acurate reading outside of a lab.
Glad you got a video up! Also, glad to hear how this is working for you. I looked it up when you first got it and now you just confirmed that I have to have one.
Yea I wear it to bad. It's funny beause it will show how many calories you burn each minute of the day so I can see when I have a nightmare and stir a bit it'll show.
I need to get that body bugg! Thanks for this vid. Can you wear it in the shower? I am going to try and get one before our ladies night so we can be twins!! XD It will definitely be an obsessive thing for me! LOL
Haha! Bodybugg twins, I'm sure we'll pull made ass with this bad boy on! No shower but it will estimate calories burned when you are not wearing it. Average is 1 calorie a minute.
HOTTIE! Im hella gonna get one! My PT guys at TWO FOUR convinced me!
