Might be the slot milled out of the lower tube, its also a slip fit IVG, but I could be very wrong.

all pumps have that wierd noise. its the bolt shooting the paintball.

if you're thinking of a pump burp this gun doesnt have one. it also has nothing to do with the bolt. light hammer=burp heavy hammer=no burp. the hammer bounces on the valve if it is too light or the spring is worn or too light as well
