  • @TP1024 With a SSD windows 7 can boot up in 7 seconds and Chrome OS can boot up in 3 seconds.

  • Ok. I am not a fan of Linux but the one I have installed here boots up to user environment in less than 20 seconds.

    And... I am using MySQL server, Apache Tomcat server, and many other boot-heavy applications.

    So... what are they proud of again...?

  • Hmm, I was just trying out my PC and camera, nothing else.

    In fact, I would like to know what Linux version and release you use, I wouldnt mind even a faster PC

  • Ubuntu 9.04 64 bit.

    It boots faster but it'll take you quite some time and effort to learn it and get used to it.
