There were mainly bass guitar players, but also we got whole orchestra (Soft Parade).

I watched a doors special with interviews from robby and the rest of the band and they were so pissed off with jim. because they wanted to at least be a band and they could only play like 4 shows at a time and have to take months off because jim would go on a bender... it actually really sucked for the rest of the band, They said most nights they were flat out embarrassed by him.

To be honest if you should check out the Tea Party. Very close to a "new age" doors. Their first two albums are amazing check , "Save Me" Sister awake" "winter solstice"
