  • how did he change gear 0:05

  • TWO HOURS LIKE THAT !! DAMN !

  • Massa was great at this year.. Sadly he was really unlucky though.. With the engine failure at 3 laps away from the win at hungary and this ferrari's pitstop mistake. He's not the same driver now.. :(

  • 4 wheels outside the track = penalty!

  • @formulacountdown on some parts of some circuits its allowed like on the a1ring in austria and in monza

  • Massa is driving bad since he had the accident at Hungary 2009

  • ohhh Massa Glory days

  • I could do that...

  • Massa is the best! =-)

  • with all respect.... the 2008 car's is what got me interested in f1 for the whole season untill the big changes in 2009 and 2010 where the cars were so ugly it put me of f1 so much.

  • Some people don't get why Felipe Massa is my favourite driver. I do. But to immediately congratulate Lewis after hearing his own dream hasn't happened... he is great.

People say 'Oh he is slower than Fernando'. But they dont bear in mind what Massa's mind has been through.

  • I really like his driving style.

  • shuuuuuuuuuut uuuuup commentor

  • I wonder is Felipe Massa gets on Youtube and reminisces about 2008.

  • what a great driver Felipe Massa...hope he wins in 2011

  • Hamilton>Button

    Alonso>>>>>Massa

  • the worst circuit in the world

  • @capachiatta Agreed. This and Bahrain Endurance layout from 2010, terrible circuits.

  • @JunTakeuchiFanClub

    ...how will be korea??? :|

  • @capachiatta I guess we'll wait and see, but I don't have very good hopes for it too.

  • @capachiatta No its not actually.

  • f1 is the best

  • @keytek9 The Formula One sucks since 2007.

  • Massa lost the title by a mere point and was utterly dominant in his day. His singapore and malaysian pole laps were absolute brilliance and if not for some bad luck he would have won all three street races. Let's not forget retiring from victory in hungary as well. Looking at today I wish he had won 2008 because he truly deserved it and I don't think he'll ever get a chance at the title again - he's become a different driver since his accident. :(

  • Bring back the V10's!! Enough of this V8 shit!!!

  • what f1 needs to do is to not only improve overtaking and the circuits, but also its show, and yes i agree with some that the FIA is getting more and more stupider each time.

  • very good lap

  • Two years of Singapore, two boring races. If it rained however, that would be incredible..

  • I think the triple chichane is what makes this circuit a bit more special. Love the metalic reflections on the cars!

  • I don't see the Singapore GP surviving past 2011.

I know it's new but christ is it a boring race.

Maybe if they sort out the chicane in the middle of the lap, and take out the stupid "left-right-left-right" part - changing it into a slower smooth corner, it would be better.

2008 and 2009 races were both dreadfully boring.

  • @tjbayliss Valencia is much, much worse. I partially agree with you, but at least this is a proper full-on street circuit. Valencia isn't - just a track surrounded by walls (bit like Montreal) that happens to be in the middle of Valencia. None of it is public roads. If i had to pick between the 2 then Singapore would win every time for me. What do you think?

  • I thought Valencia was public roads

I love the Singapore Track, but it's just far too narrow all over to overtake.

    F1 needs more Monza's, Fuji's, Spa-Francorchamps'

    Not more Monaco's.

Monaco has to be the crappest track on the calendar, it's only there for money.

A lot of people will disagree with me, but it's far too dangerous, slow, it's impossible to overtake, and almost always the races are absolutely crap.

  • F1 needs wide tracks, with open corners and open exits.

Exactly like Fuji, really wide track, overtaking is so easy at almost every corner.

If you make tracks narrow it just turns it into a procession.

Hungary, Monaco, Singapore, and even Valencia, but that's a bit better for width

All of them are just far too narrow to ever get a race that isn't just a boring train.

  • what a stupid track, with the exception of monaco, the FIA shouldn't sanction a track with an average speed below 200 km/h or a straight shorter than 1200m... that would give us more overtaking...

  • massa is one of the best formula 1 drivers in these days. Next year side-by-side with alonso it'll be a very hard year for massa i think.

  • well most Massa much polpozicion acquired in the last year's year, but was not able to win all competitions unfortunately.

    Massa the best one

  • i hate 2 admit this but with all due respect to hamilton, 2008 was definetly massa's championship, drove like a true great last year, yet only missing out on the title by a point.

  • Agreed. Massa would have won the title if the Ferrari didn't screw up in Hungary (surely one of his most impressive races) or without the mistake of the Ferrari crew in Singapore. A combination of bad luck and mistakes. But Lewis earns the WCT, he was more constant and his team made less mistakes. But I'm looking forward for 2010 for Felipe, hopefully he beat Fernando, I hate him even as a Ferrari fan.

  • 0.664 sec. quicker than the second placed hamilton

  • He deserves to win at least one title.

  • Alonso, Hamilton, Kubica, Massa and Raikkonen are just on the same level. Rosberg is very good, too. But I can't say "Hamilton is absolutely the best". Personally I'm not a big F1 fan (I prefer overtakes, so I'm used to watch NASCAR XDDDD). However, to be champ or not it's also a matter of good or poor luck (look Hamilton '07 -unlucky, but in that situation was a team fault, in the chinese grand prix- vs '08). Hamilton had that penality in Spa, but Massa and Ferrari did some big mistakes.

  • man, for me, NASCAR is all about watching 30 cars crashing at the same time XD...naa, just a joke

  • Yep, but there are many many overtakes...

  • P.S.: the cars are 43...

  • jajajajaja, ok, thanks

  • Felipe Massa really is a great qualifier. In 08 he did some friggen amazing laps. Look at his Malaysian pole lap, and this one, where he outclassed the field with about 6 tenths of a second. And that was with a pretty similar fuel load to the others. Just amazing. People tend to forget what a natural talent he is for driving F1 cars.

  • yea totally! if he were here, he'd totally beat the crab out of hamilton.wonder how he's reacting to fernando alonso joining ferrari though

  • I don't think he cares the slightest of bits. I mean he has raced against Schumacher and Räikkönen, and he beat Räikkönen. Alonso will have a tough time as well.

  • Felipe is a top driver ! No TC in 2008 and everyone were counting him out, but he proved those fools wrong by competing for the title until the last corner, and if not at last one dumb mistake from Ferrari, he would take the crown, as he didn't deserve it less than Hamilton.

  • Agree...for me Massa is the 08 champ. he drove his heart out the entire season.

  • they kinda do suck for overtaking and excitement. but singapore is a handful thats for sure. the tracks are complex and i think thats what makes them so hard to overtake.

    and quit yer bitchin nig!!

  • New f1 circuits sucks

  • great track singapore

  • Singapore is indeed an interesting track, although there's not much overtaking... Every lap you drive on is very fun, there's many turns, excitement.. It's fun to be racing here, although the race itself is pretty much boring...

  • 0:55 - What a stupid corner.

  • its because they didn't want cars going side by side going over the bridge after it because it was a lot narrower than the rest of the track.

  • That's a good point. But the initial design of it with the giant curbs that were first used was quite dangerous, as the cars were flying into the wall on the far side if they hit them, and it musn't have been easy to avoid them from a driver's perspective.

  • 1:15 that's driving!

  • But u have to consider the technical side of F1 cars. Increasing the revs will make it less reliable. Hope you can consider my comment.

  • Quality lap from felipe there!

  • 2008 cars are waaaaaay better lookin than the 2009 cars

  • that's what I've been saying since the new cars came out!

  • i actually reckon the 09 cars look very good. i know this is againt the popular conception, but i think they somehow look more classical than last year.

  • i like the 09 cars too. i never liked all the little bits and pieces sticking out everywhere before the 09 regulations.

  • But it would be so interesting to have those 08 models with slicks, those things would be sooo much quicker with slicks, because then on top of having that aero grip there would also be the mechanical grip from the tires. also should bring back the V10's. and up the revs, well you see where i'm going... SPEEEEED!

  • i have to agree with you, all this talk of how ugly they are is rubbish. these new cars look good, the 08 cars looked good and so did the 07 06 05 04 03 02 01 00 and so on back to the wee days of F1. they all look good.

  • Total crap. The only thing they have over last year, is that they dont have those ridiculous aero bits. But apart from that, they are fucking hideous, and I would gladly have last year's cars back.

  • 1. funnily enough, i orefer the old sidepods with all the pieces on them, it made them look more technological and it made each car unique. i cant quite put my finger on why, but i just like the look of the new cars better. it just seems to suit for some reaso.

    2. have you ever heard of beauty lies in the eye of the beholder?

    3. just look at all the thumbs up ive got to see what everyone else thinks.

  • LOL, who cares about how many thumbs up you got. I get thumbs down all the time when I'm commenting on political videos because people can't deal with the undistilled truth.

Doesnt make my opinion any less valid. The new front wings are hideous, end of story.

  • Oh and they are not only ugly, they are also very stupid, they have caused a number of needless punctures and accidents because its so easy to tag them with the rear wheels of another car. Remember Kubica and Vettel in Melbourne two laps from the end? Completely ridiculous. Also, I suspect that problem has caused many drivers to be overly cautious in close quarters, and has in fact hindered overtaking and close on-track battles.

  • i do agree with you there, i never said they worked at what they were trying to acheive. the teams have developed the cars so much there is actually nearly as much wake behind the car as last year. and yes, the incidents as well. its now hard to believe that kubica was in contention for the win here in Aus

  • i do know that, but it shows there are others out there who agree, that this years cars look better and that my views arent unique. i respect your views, i just think they look better this year.

  • Ok yeah we're all entitled to our opinions obviously... I must say I'm surprised you got so many thumbs up, like you said before it seems to be the minority view, heheh.

At first I actually liked the look of them, and I was willing to give the new look a chance to grow on me but I just can't live with those front wings. In fact I am rapidly losing interest in F1, as a longtime fan. I want to see more variation in the cars and better looking cars. Getting bored of Formula Max/Bernie.

  • i think everyones sick of the mosley ecclestone show. Max mosleys going at the end of the year isnt he?

  • this track is epic. it better stay on the calendar, but they must do something about that pit in area

  • Yes i hope ,do it jenson do it,

  • wish Button wins this year

    BRAWN GP

  • I bet that every Formula 1 fan is hoping that Brawn GP does good this year, me included

And about Button, I will love to see him in McLaren to show Lewis who is the best english driver.

  • y would u want him in a Mclaren though? Brawn is better than McLaren hands down.

  • Hahaha, you're right, but my comment is from before the first race, nobody knew that, for sure, at that time .

    GO BRAWN GP!!!

  • well, that's what I want too, show them the true british driver button, so that Barichello can challenge for the world championship in brawn.

  • @AyrsenF1 well your wish came true :) MCLAREN FTW

  • @AyrsenF1 No some of us dont jump on the bandwagon. Cant say the same for you >_> . Button is not going to show Hamilton anything.

  • @AyrsenF1 Yeah, Lewis is beating the hell out of Jenson at Mclaren this year, what a stupid thing to say, retard.

  • @Cuddleydoo thank you

  • @AyrsenF1

To pick up on this a year on, your wish came true, and it seems Jenson has a more calm approach than Lewis, and has better strats, he's slower in a hot lap situation.

  • @AyrsenF1 lol he has and lewis embarrassed button looool

  • @AyrsenF1 What a remarkable prediction...

  • @AyrsenF1 What a remarkable prediction... :-)

  • Raikkonen will be winner of the 2009 F1 Championship

  • I don't think so...

  • Hope Massa wins this year.

  • You bet!

  • Yes, but I don't believe anything, I hope is true

  • What a Lame Ass track.

  • hahaha, I agree, there is no place to pass.

  • I heard that they are changing it so that there is some passing.

  • massa is starting to become truley great over one lap. nice one

  • Try Race as well

Massa deserves to be champ and does not have to rely on punks like Tino fucking Glock helping to bail him out losing 14 seconds on last lap.

  • if it didnt rain in the last 5laps, no one would be talking about glock. hami was in 4th place comfortably before then.

  • The real faggot is Trulli, who don´t handle the Hamilton´s pressure in the rain, and spins out.

About Timo, if you can drive a F1 car in the rain with slick warmed tires, i supose that you´re a genius and F1 fans are wasting time in not having you in the races!

  • I can't watch a single F1 video on youtube without seeing comments from you bloody Massa whingers going on about how he was robbed and is the 'real' champion.

Massa lost, Lewis won, and that's the end of it. Get over it for God's sake! There will be other seasons!

  • 2009 will be Alonso's year!!!

  • massa fans jus want some1 to blame, but im a different massa fan, yes he deserved the title, so did lewis, but massa didnt deserve a crappy 2008 unreliable car. but like you sed, hamilton won, onto the next season

  • A near perfect lap :). He will be the world champion of this season.

  • One word for his Pit Stop mistake......"Karma"

  • The team should avoid more complications and go back to the lollipop guy until the end of the season.

  • Quoted for truth!

  • You bet, I hope Felipe wins it. He deserves to be the world champion this year, but Ferrari is not helping at all.

    Forza Felipe!

  • That was a super lap. He really had the F2008 hooked up. What an awful pity it was for Felipe when he had to pit.

I really hope he wins the World Drivers Championship.

    Go on Felipe!
