i actually think they are very interesting, but in my personal opinion they are def. too pricey for a product made of pressed paper, some plastic and a pair of magnets. in europe they cost 19 euros in the online shops, thats about 27,3 USD. i would have to buy about 4 of them, because i have quite some eyeshadows i would like to depot. because of the price i will stick to the selfmade version. but good review, thank you very much!

For me, the Z Palette is made of very cheap cardboard, with an outrageous price tag, to boot. If you want a quality palette, go for something substantial like the palettes from uniicosmetics They're the best.

hmm don't know if like you take a picture and than load it to your computer than use photoshop and try to fix it than print it as a YMCK the colors will look pretty close to what you have.

This is junk. I bought it and my shadows and blushes fell out. I damaged a brand new blush. THe magnet doesn't hold the MAC blushes nor the MAC shadows.

the z palettes hold almost twice as many eyeshadows as the mac palette with the divider still in. If you take the divider out you can get a few more in, but I think the z palette still holds more.

@08vicmatt i think the Unii ones are excellent for the make-up wearer on the go.these Z-palettes with the clear covers seam ideal for make-up artists. it really depends on how you will be using them i guess.

well, the magnets were very strong when i used full magentic pans, BUT with MAC pans (pans with a magnet circle attached) the magnet was heart attack weak. i ordered recently and contacted her about it. did u have this problem with the new ones?

I bought one of these about six months ago and loved it so much I immediately got another. After several months of use I'm kind of disappointed; they are made of cardboard and aren't holding up very well. One warped a little bit and the other is becoming flimsy with use. They are a wonderful idea but they need some tweaking to be useful long-term.

they should, it doesn't look as if there are slots so it doesn't matter what size the pans are. as long as there's a magnet on the back of the pans you shouldn't have a problem

I just noticed that on tkbtrading, they have the small palette for $12 if you buy one, $34 if you buy 5, and $49 if you buy 10. I wonder if it's the exact same thing, they call them freestyle palettes.

Thanks for the letting us know of another site to buy them. They have to be the same, it states "The palette is matte black, made of eco-friendly cardboard, but with a good, durable finish.". Unfortunately, it appears that they only have the small ones.

Another advantage of trading out old paletes is that these fit way more in them than the standard mac ones, so you would be using less and not equal amounts of palettes

I had bought a Yaby Cosmetics empty freestyle palette last year and I had loved the concept of being able to put in all my odd shaped pans into one palette. It had a mirror which was nice but the weight of the thick earth magnets made is really heavy to carry around in my purse. I think it's worth to get at least one of these for personal use. Way to go Zena!

You can get empty shadow palettes on Stars Makeup Haven, Coastal Scents and ebay for roughly $8 as well. This palette however is specialized. I would not carry around a mac palette in my purse. ^_^

These do seem a bit expensive, but I can confirm one thing...cardboard absorbs impact on shadows better than plastic. I dropped a plastic palette of mine that had all my L'Oreal HIP depotted shadow, cracked the plastic and shattered the shadows all over the floor because there was no impact absorption. Ended up in the trash. I recently dropped my UD Show Pony box, freaked out, then opened it to find all the shadows to be perfectly fine without not even a bit of shadow powdering from the impact.
