I got banned from HEF, noted for writing in Spanish and am pro-union!
Other than that, and the fact that I feel the most of the rednecks are morons? that an playing with the NCIC system? nothing like an operator that hand you your entire criminal history, while on a quick safety meeting break from a pocket computer!
go to the pet store, buy 1500 hamsters , then get 40 rolls of duct tape and some 200 balls of yarn . Tape one end of the yarn to the hamsters the other to the stuck equipment, then throw out a piece of cheese.
hahahaha this where you ask your self as an operator how the hell did i get my self in this problem...... iv had one or to situations like this when i was a green horn operator
This video brings back some unhappy memories. An operator called me about having gotten one of our old D8's (46A-model) into a 'predicament'. When I arrived barely an hour later only the top 2 feet of the canopy were visible. We got a 60 foot piece of 1" cable attached to a lifting eye on the top of the canopy and a day later had a 100 tonne crane struggle to inch the machine back up. What a nightmare. Recovery and repair cost more than the machine was really worth....
can anyone tell me at 238 the leightons terex is in the river?? leightons are one of the best companies i worked for, good gear but high production too! in kalgoorlie , great bunch of people in kal and boulder
lol gread vid showing some true skills operators have..if its stuck, QUIT TRYING TO GET UNSTUCK!!! IT JUST GETS WORSE LOL i learned that from experience
wow some of those look like they have seen their last hour! But I have seen videos where that is what it looked like only for the only damage to be well worth mending, as these machines are not cheap right?
You've either gotten stuck or will be. It happens to us GOLDEN OPERATORS who get it done. The guys the boss calls on to get it done. No skirts boys. Iron is iron and as long as no one is hurt you gotta push the edge or you'll be that guy driving the boss's wife to get her hair done. You gotta take your skirt off every once in a while or how will you know what you and your machine can take? Just do it where the iron is the only sacrifice. Use your head but leave your vagina home.
Hey, Chris how have u been? been to any Auctions Lately ?? LoL i am now a member of HEF and have been on there quite a bit lately lots of good info there a i like all the pics of the "older" equipment just like my "junk" lol
@diggerdave51 LOL no I have not had time to go to any auctions, I've been to busy with work! HEF is a pretty good site, I just don't have time to visit very ofter.
I THINK....that dragline pic (and the dumpers in the next one) was from a open cut coal mine in queensland australia..they got like a monsoonal storm (?) and the pit filled too quickly with rain water to get the equipment out.. & took literally months to pump out the water...it was on our local nightly news(TV)

HitachiZaxis450LC 1 year ago
@HitachiZaxis450LC ,,,I said I think... but seens ya asked.. I googled it.
21 January 2008 QUEENSLAND coal producer Ensham Resources has used helicopters to evacuate employees stranded at the flooded central Queensland mine.
Massive floodwaters cut through the mine on the weekend, with water engulfing one of the mines draglines.
(taken from the australian mining website which has that exact pic you see in this video)
