I would call it exactly what it is: A step closer to complete, socialized "health care" in America.
I challenge you to DESCRIBE it in terms that are not repeated all the time on CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, and even FOX! (In case you didn't know, FOX uses it as a legitimate term as well)
Hey retard...after 8 years of MASSIVE Government misuse of powers, I think I know enough about it! I bet during those eight years, you would hold an effigy of your superhero Geroge W Bush and yelled "JAYSUS"!!
This is NOT a government take over...go to ANY factcheck website and you"ll see! Unless...you too like all conservatives will yell "LIBERALISM" when reality is shown to you!Its like Colbert said, "reality has a well known liberal bias"!
Now STFU and go back to sucking on Limbaugh's tits!
Are you still using those denigrative remarks? Pathetic. I'll close by saying this: I never alluded to being sympathetic to any one side's view. YOU, you are so caught up with this whole "conservative"/ "liberal" thought process that you can't even comprehend the reality of the matter. Did you quote a comedian to bolster your own validity? I don't "suck on Limbaugh's tits"; I don't even listen to his show, but, doing such would be 10x less demeaning than you sucking Matthews/Olbermanns nutsack!
if you are so interested in REALITY go to the FACTCHECK websites..but IF your response is "ITS A LIBERAL WEBSITE" then again...I"ll quote Stephen Colbert "REALITY has a well known liberal bias"
Scary, I hope we don't end up like Canada, Obama has admitted to not wanting private insurance to remain, and to penalize those who choose no insurance.
Why would anyone want a public option, limited funds, services, long lines, waits, ect. Look at socialized health care around the world, 1 MRI machine to 10,000 people- the US 1 MRI machine to 1,000 people. We have the best healthcare in the world, why mess up a good thing. Most people have some type of insurance that they are happy with. Non't mess with it!!!!! We will be sorry the day the country elected Barack Obama!
The US does have the best health care facilities in the world. Doctors, technologies, expedience, choice...etc. But still that doesn't mean the US has the best health care system overall. The US is no. 37 on the world because if you don't have money it doesn't matter.
More importantly, this is just an OPTION.
Also, what amazes me is that conservatives say it's not a right while at the same time having no problem with 12 years of free education or public libraries !!
So how does the government make healthcare better? The government can't even run the US mail. Everything the gov touches turns bankrupt. Free market is the answer. Open up insurance to every state, this will make competition. Why only have a hand full of insurance companies in one state? Take cable for example. I don't know about the rest of the country but Comcast owned my town for decades. Now we have choices with cable and guess what, costs are going down. Why? Competition.
Yeah sure. That's what happened in France or Italy after they introduced universal health care. Zombies are roaming around Rome and Paris and hospitals are filthy.
ALL of Western Europe, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan have free universal health care. They ALL got it wrong !!
"ALL of Western Europe, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan have free universal health care. They ALL got it wrong !! "
Facts beg to differ.
They pay less. They have better outcomes. They have greater satisfaction rates.
They got it wrong, because they don't do it like America? If ALL other industrialized nations do it another way...take the hint, maybe there's a reason for it?
Have you ever gotten sick in Europe? Do you know how long it takes to get a simple procedure done? The gov doen't need to make comp in HC, we have plenty of health care insur comp. We need reform from restriction of comp. Why is this so hard for the gov to let this go? Barack wants a single payer system, thats why. We built this great country in 200 years on free market ideas. The people of Europe that have so called "free" healthcare pay over 65% of their income in taxes.
Funny you should ask. I move to the UK last year so let me debunk your claims. You can see a doctor (a family dr..) ANYTIME and AS MUCH AS you want. Then you can be referred to a specialist which, I admit, can take sometime. Like my mother had pain in her ankle and she had to wait 3 weeks to see an orthopedic sp.
On the other hand, my uncle suffered from leptospirosis and hepato-renal failure. He stayed in the ICU for 2 weeks and was treated and didn't pay a penny. He pays about 20% in tax.
I lives in Canada for a decade and agree the "socialist" health care is far superior. Any of you with "why don't you move back" on the tips of your tongues - take you own advice and move to Mexico or Afghanistan where they have the "less government" you love so much.
Liar. The WHO ranked all EU health care systems superior to our. I lived in Canada for 10 years and received much better care there compared to my full coverage in the US. Ask the 60 million Americans with no health coverage how long they wait. Stop being a shit eating coward and liar. Your fear and greed makes me sad you live in my country.
The gov. would only be involved in the funding aspect of it, like in Canada. The gov. would not own or manage medical facilities or anything like that (not that that'd be such a bad thing, it's called socialized medicine and it seems to work for UK and Scandinavian countries)
"Everything the gov touches bankrupt"
What do you mean? Medicare for example is not for-profit, how can it "go bankrupt"? You mean its not funded well enough? Then fund it more. It's still more cost-effective than private
None of that bullshit happened in Canada, Australia, or the EU. Why are you cowards so weak and fearful? Look - pussy boy - grow up and stop shitting on America ok? If it's that bad GET THE FUCK OUT YOU FUCKING IDIOT.
I lived in Canada for a decade and saw none of the lies you spread here. According to the WHO the US system scored 37th in the world for health care. The 36 nations with health care systems superior to ours all use the socialized model. Please resist the temptation to cry about the WHO being bias, evil, or incompetent. The report is scientifically valid. Just because you dont like the results it doesnt make the WHOs findings invalid.
Apparently UTube is stopping most or all comments... who is making this decision....why are liberal comments being totally removed from uTube?

America...silly America with its over-expensive health care and high death rate. Ah, America...sigh.
This public option is NOT socialism. Every other major industrialized nation has public/universal health care. It's just plain and simple fact.

Wow. Now you're resorting to denigrative terminology. I think YOU should lay off the FOX news.
I can also see that you have no understanding of government and it's tendency to continuously reach for new heights of control.
P.S.
Your "option" remark shows me that you can't even refute my argument, because you totally ignored it. You would be the ideal MSM pundit.

It's either open insurance to every state (and peel back anti-trust exemptions), or public option.
Unfortunately the fucking greedy corporatists will accept niether.
