  • 240p, What is this Africa?

  • @EMDviaShlonghurst More like antartica....

  • can i re upload your vid with higher volume please

  • Fuck compters I know many musicians who are better than a fucking computer, remember you queer dubstep bros its not hard at all pick up a real instrument that takes talent,I guess its cool to dance to cpu made music I feel like an idiot when I do

  • @99hotairbaloons Whats wrong couldn't do it? Btw i play guitar and drums, does that mean making dubstep doesn't require talent? because tbh its fucking hard

  • @99hotairbaloons Oh, please - you makeing you're self looking like a retard, it's sad that people like you cant accept music evolution you're props' like twelve year'ed old dick that no one like's IRL so you go to youtube try to act all oldshool and shit but what can you nothing :( And thats damn right sad! Well' if you dont mean createing an amazing filthy dubstep track does not requires talent or' time then u stupid as fuck LOL.

  • @Seba2k11 Ok, I kind of agree with what you are saying. You're basically stating that it takes talent and dedication to create Dubstep, and I agree with you, but holy shit....You need to learn proper grammar and spelling. The irony is not lost in your first sentence. My brain started hurting trying to decipher your message.

  • @99hotairbaloons Its hard to make good trance, its hard to make good dubstep. It requires more than having a good idea, but the ability to utilize complex synthesizers to get it down. Good day

  • @99hotairbaloons Lol. Just ignore Dubstep being Electronic dance. now what fancy instrument does that without a computer. Sit down

  • @99hotairbaloons

I play 6 different instruments and sing. Dubstep is just as hard if not harder. You sir, are fucking clueless.

  • Fuck computers I know many musicians who are better than a fucking compu

  • Any way you can share your patch that you made so we could play with it?

  • I now know how to make sweet love to my combinator...

  • 240p, we meet again.

  • How can I connect my synthesizer to the computer? which cable i need for that? where are the settings for that? CAN YOU PLEASE PLEASE MAKE TUTORIAL FOR THAT

  • @lazicsale MIDI cable.

any local music story or electronics store most likley has them.

i suggest for you the M-Audio UNO

  • You should totally do a tutorial. lol

  • that was an excellent demonstration.

  • Thanks for opening my eyes up to the combinator dude.

  • got a lil question here, at the end when u 'demo' your sound, is it the same note all the way and u make the sound only by changing freq and rate? or did u have a rif playing? thanks

  • Dude i dont freaking know how to make that kind of wobble sound, only thing i know is the gay wobble sound from boyinaband dude :c and how u make it 6 wobbles after eachother sound so good, with boyinaband's version it FAILS, learn please :c

  • @101Infinty101 doood. look for a wobble bass tutorial you dumbass

  • @101Infinty101

LOL. Well, for one Boyinaband doesn't hold your hand like a little child, and I'm pretty sure no one else will either. If you want to make music you can't expect to copy someone else 100%. Make your own sound, play around with shit and figure it out.

I've watched both of boyinabands Dubstep video series and he clearly explains your question. Get some Ritalin and watch it again... HINT: LFO Rates, just don't rely on them 100% because your dubstep will get boring

  • Video looks like shit!

  • haha this sucks xD

  • widdler uses reason? he makes it sound VERY NICE! widdler ur my fukn hero!

  • How do you make it sound..... filthier?

like as in UKF filthy. ive been playing around with thor and maelstrom for days and havent found anything that sounds like ukf

  • @Facemelter2000 UKF isnt filthy in the slightest. And its all in the distortion and crushers.

  • @HecticDub i suppose that's a matter of opinion.

  • @Facemelter2000 Yeah i suppose, to me filthy is DatsiK, Excision etc.

  • @HecticDub PAPPFFFT? Datsik and Excision aren't even that filthy.

  • @DNBinca Depends what you define filthy as.

  • @HecticDub Tomba and all that other shit that doesn't make sense. Excision is actually tasteful.

  • @Killersnipe Tomba is huge and so is Excision and DatsiK and Downlink. All good in their different ways

  • Aye, Tomba just a bit too much for me... maybe I'm a pussy.

  • @Killersnipe Yeah you are.

  • Thanks man! I've learnt how to use the Combinator to it's full advantage now! :D

  • how do you wire up the two matsroms so u can hear them both through the headphones wb please

  • @Jokergore1 americandubstep? never heard of that word.

  • @flowerpower111 i liked it better when it used to be called Glitch or Downtempo. ;) but i suppose this will do

  • @Rane909 aaaah. now i understand what the glitch kits on reason are for huahua

  • Volume is too low!!!

  • at about 2:53 you say you rigged the knobs to a controller. just wondering what controller do you use? or does anyone have any suggestions for one that will work with reason?

  • @erc110591 I would guess any midi controller. You can assign any button.

  • @erc110591 Korg Kontrol 49 or Axiom series are friggin awesome for live performance

  • hey, can you told me shortly how do you connect the devices (both malströms and the efects) into the 6:2, thx

  • @radiopolonia press tab on your keyboard and it should turn the hardware rack over and you can connect them from there.

  • hey is there anyone who can told me how he connects the devices (both malström and teh effects) into the 6:2 mixer. thx

  • sickk man. thx for that little combi trick :) im pretty new to reason and that helped so much to control both rates and stuff so i can widdle away on my knobs

  • check my tune "let me" that wobble bass is made with reason

  • obv keeps the best sounds for himself haha

  • The Widdler is DANK!

  • OMG ITS THE WIDDLER WOMEN TAKE UR CHILDREN AND RUN CUZ THIS BASS WILL MELT YOUR MIND lol thx man luv ur music

  • You Rigged the Who to the what?

  • sweet, been wanting to control multiple knobs with one for a while, thanks man.

  • widdler, i just responded with a video called "(reason 4 dubstep) Skrypt - Igor its alive!!!" if you have any chance at all to listen to the song and give me feedback my mind would explode with grimy filth.

    -sincerely a fellow dubstep lover

  • cant hear

  • Hey Widdler (Yoni),

So I know this is not a tutorial, but I was wondering if I could possibly ask you a question regarding making a specific synth. Ive seen a lot of tutorials and have been experimenting on my own, but after checking out two of your songs, "Acheri" and "Lost in Space," how do you make those more....."harsh-sounding" or, lol as i put it... unholy (just thats how it feels to me....which is awesome) if you could possibly help me out that would be great, but I also get it if u can't

  • If this isnt a tutorial then what is it ??

dubstep, drum and bass, hardcore, oldskool and breakbeat all originated in the UK

  • @dsb100 keyword originated

  • @supersovereign

    keyword : keyword.

  • so how do you connect them up at the back?

  • American dubstep Pionners is so true, even tho, if you still Use reason and make what you do, then thats pioneering,

Yoni, what do you use now?

  • Nice tutorial! Could you please tell me how can you import more than one RNS file into reason. For example: If you had saved couple of combinator (that are RNS) how can you open at the same time into a project tha you are working on..

    thanks.

  • Big up! Big up!

Widdle me this, my man.... I have an Axiom 25 for a controller - I've been playing with the rate mapped to rotary 1 but find it difficult to hit the specific rates. How do you articulate these switches in wobble rate so well?

I know I can set a high and low mark in the programmer but for more variety it would be nice to be able to hit specific rates - without having to just edit the curves after the fact.

Your album is Si!i!iCK, by the way....

  • HI GUYS! just so you have an idea of what Reason can do in regards to DUBSTEP I have put up a track i made using Reason, ITS FILTHY! haha.. search youtube for .. DJ KUCIA - WHY SO SERIOUS? ( DUBSTEP ) ... iv sampled the dark knight ofcourse, you wont be dissapointed! any questions about producing it just let me know ! :-)

  • this video is helpful. widdler's track are cool.

never thought i'd hear "american dubstep" and "pioneer" in the same sentence though. At least not without mentioning the likes of the boyz on the West Coast s/a Bassnectar.

also fuck youtube and its shitty text box posting i hope this gets accidentally posted 10 to 20 times.

  • this video is helpful. widdler's track are cool.

  • american dubstep + pioneer = something i did not know.

  • hey guys go on my youtube file n look at my latest dubstep beat called - feed me more! :)

  • Ay Widdler your tell me some shit maan i got reason 4 and made some shit. but i dont know where to begin on makaing a good sounding song

  • Sound is a bit low!

  • IS HE SPEAKING ALREADY ?

  • thats is fooking soooo sik ,,,im onit bruv, reason is the DON .... check some ov my tunes see what ya think ...

  • what do u use for just pure sub bass?

  • @HxCShredder just use a sine wave or triangle single osc

  • @HxCShredder

    I use thor for that

  • @HxCShredder pure sine wave

  • @HxCShredder

    I personally use Thor. (:

  • yo mister widdler :P u reckon u could help a fellow steppa out with a bitta help in the more deep and dutty wobbles, froggystyle being a perfect example :P

  • rawest tune. ever.

  • Just posted a video response with a track I made with reason. A good trick for deep bass also is to run your synth through a vocoder set to equilizer using a 4 or 8 band eq and running that through a scream distortion. Gritty sounds! the vocoder eq is also very good for fattening drums as well.

  • OMFG, a dubstep tut from the Widdler!!! :D

  • awesome

  • this is the widdler!

    wtf!!

  • @Jattmafia313 I know O MY GGGGAAAAAWWWWDDDD OOOOO MMMMMYYYYY GGGGAAAWWWDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

  • @Jattmafia313 give a link to the widdler video! please i want to see this in a better quality

  • And if you're poor asses - get the Lit Phatty emualtor by Analog Synth Lab. Sick!

  • Forget Reason! Moog Lil Phatty - Best Dub Step bass sounds ever.

  • safe Tha Wobble is Sick Mate

  • ur a moron u dont use malestrom for dubstep bass u dimlo

  • @rottendub music has no boundaries you plebb

  • @rottendub the bassline for square off by coki was made on a malstrom, plus im pretty sure the guy who made this video is the widdler whos a big producer. who the fuck are you mate? lol

  • rottendub is a damn idiot i heard crazy ass dub synths that started with a malstrom... u must not know about eq or effects.

  • ^lol at you i can show u some mean stuff i created with malestrum :O

  • idk if u figured it out but u just right click on the knob and click "edit remote override" and then click "learn from control surface input" box and turn the the knob an click ok.

  • if you control click the rate know it will give you the option to program a midi controller ;)

  • does reason connect to any midi piano or only selct brands/models?

  • reason will work with any MIDI hardware

  • @

PhatBeatsYo: the LFO is in sync tempo

  • cant figure out how to get the combinator to recognise both of my malstroms. how have u got it wired up???? confused. it only recognises a line mixer and one of the malstroms.

  • Are the LFOs on free run or tempo sync?

  • thats what i was thinkin, it must be kos the demo at the end is all in time, another tutorial showing that would be good

on my korg electribe mx theres just a button marked 'bpm sync'

  • pretty sure Liam Howlett of the Prodigy used reason on always outnumbered, never outgunned album, and there's more producers out there that use it too, but dont admit it, and to all you dissing this guy saying he's sh!t, i can only say this to you..WTF are you doing here watching this?? if ur so good u dont need pointers, u bunch of boners!! upload ur vids and show us how good u are! now go and play with ur ejay progs!!

  • yeah i always had the opinion of Reason that people have of FL Studio, untill i read that article withh Liam Howlett (producing god). He said he wrote the whole album on it and then would do the final recordings in Pro Tools

  • shitty wobble

  • u suk

  • ... its the widdler mate.

  • cheer up you misserable bastard

  • Thanks u showed me how to use reason for more than just hip hop , nice one. i posted a response with my newest dubstep tune i made . THANKS AGAIN DUDE .

  • What??!.....

  • cool

  • Actually djsesh9 u can plug in all osc u want with combining the malstroms!!!

  • Great tutorial, I will try this.*****

  • mine did not work, are u using a piano or something?

  • THE WIDDLER!

  • Volume too low. If you're going to post sort the volume out.

  • ARE U USING A MIDI CONTROLER FOR THIS

  • try using thor insted of malstrom

    you get much cleaner sound

  • see thats exactly why i prefer malstrom for my basses, cuz it sounds so dirty. I prefer Thor for my leads, most of the time. I just wish malstrom had three osc.

  • Tru That

  • you do realise that this is The Widdler. and if you know anything about dubstep you would know The Widdler. the american dubstep pioneer.

  • Are you saying that the person who made this tutorial is The Widdler?

If so, I tought he wasn't using Reason4.

Only producer I know is Stenchman who is easing Reason4.

  • yeah this is him. Yoni is his name and the link is to widdlers myspace... :)

  • funtcase is using reason 4;)

  • and stenchman and suspect :)

  • @DarkWhite25 whats the widdler`???

  • @DarkWhite25 if you knew anything about the English language you would know how to spell realize.

He's just trying to help people out, don't troll

  • @iEatUnicornsDawg uk & usa english are different you moron. you just made yourself look like an even bigger twat

  • @iEatUnicornsDawg lol. In Canada and the UK (and all other Commonwealth countries) it's realise. There are many differences. Examples: US = color, UK = colour; US = skeptic, UK = sceptic; US = ton, UK = tonne; etc, etc.

    Easy on the ethnocentricity.

  • fucking awesome jam near the end

  • Thanks for the vid, not only helped with the d step bass lines, but also learnt some new stuff about reason too. :D

  • LA ROUX BULLETPROOF DUBSTEP:

    watch?v=EfnNJQN1EkQ

  • i find it humorous how people watch videos like this but obviously only have some sh*tty pc speakers, if you are a producing enthusiast then just like me you should be able to make this video loud enough to shake the foundations of the house you are in :D

  • Comment removed

  • dumbass idiot, that has nothing to do with his mixing ability! You Twat!

  • Comment removed

  • ugh....for fuck sakes. your giving a tutorial on audio yet your audio for the video is fucked.

    gomer.

  • very informative video, 5/5!

  • I find it kind of ironic that you are giving advice on this, but you can't even set the level right to record this video as loud as possible. You gotta be as loud as you can be to cut through the clutter.

    Think about it! Peace.

  • num nutts, if they don't profit there well never be any programs like this

  • what program is, and can i download

    thanks!

  • reason dude. go buy it

  • thanks

  • screw payin for it lol

  • what do you use to make your drum beats?

do you do them in reason or another program?

  • can u make a redrum tutorial youv got your drums and snare perfect i need help!!!!

  • How can you need help with redrum? whats wrong with your drums?

  • pretty slick indeed! overall a nice effective approach! however you wanna know what was completely wrong? it was when I went to play the next video and the room exploded with a 'rapidly destructive bad type of blow yer speakers loud ass booming bass line!' SERIOUSLY, YOU NEED TO FIGURE THAT SHIT OUT QUICK!

  • lol

  • HAHAHA

  • Great Tutorial.

But still struggling to get that sound, any chance of a link to a patch download?

    Please :-)

  • Hey dude could you make a video on how to make a dubstep woobly bass? I know some mexican guy did a video on it, but, it just sucks.

If you could do that that 'd be sweet.!

  • Reason has some seriously nice tricks :)

    Fave programme!

  • yoni -

is there a way to actually make the combinator knob that controls the mod B rate actually stay in sync with the track as mine doesn't even though i have the mod B "sync" option on in the malstrom? been bugging me for ages now! cheers man!

  • that is awsome dupstep!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    awsome tutorial man!

  • sweet video!

    i love the word "wobbly"

  • Good breakdown man. Been using reason for about 6 yrs now and I have never understood what combinator was, just thought it was another synth. Thanks man!

  • we all have to start somewhere matey

  • nice tutorial mate combinator really does have a lot of options
