I have no idea why this song isn't considered as one of, if not the best song he's ever written. This song is beautiful, haunting, sad beyond mere words, and still, his words convey a sadness he either went through or watched. Living in an apartment when this album was released, I blasted this album for weeks. He's an excellent songwriter.

I was just getting over the love of my life when this song came out, and I felt as dark and lonely as these lyrics.
