  • sounds a bit demonic

  • I heard something like this , but alot louder one night camping out on my land , we dont have howler monkeys in oklahoma lol , so wth was it ? I dont camp out up there anymore , not in tents anyway . If you add a higher pitch scream in with this howler its really close to what my son and I heard . If anyone can tell me what I heard I would greatly appreciate it . It was so loud my son covered his ears . I plan on building a house up there and living up there some day , but a little freaked out .

  • @metalmuzicman chupacabra

  • @metalmuzicman racoons maybe

  • @metalmuzicman could have been a barn owl perhaps? barn owls make this hair raising scream...i have never heard one irl however. :)

  • @metalmuzicman Id search the area for bodies or graves. Look for clothing, tools, unearthed soil, foul odors, bones...

  • I think this was a loud howl! o: lol

  • Sounds like Justin Bieber's singing.

  • apparently howler monkeys are the sound of a T-Rex. They used a howler monkey to make the sound of a T-Rex in Jurassic Park! wierd

  • @i39darkblade

    Because, they Howl, Howl=howler.

I am doing a research project on this! ^^

  • @Twesamimo it really sounds more like a growl then a howl.

they should be called growler monkeys. LOL

  • @Twesamimo i am PRETTY sure that, that guy was joking ;)

  • @Nikovich101 i was joking.

  • @i39darkblade Yeah, more like a roarer monkey.

  • NIGGA GOT THE DEMONS IN IT

  • We have these at out zoo in the Tropical Discovery building. And even just comming in the building they sound like they are next door and they are about in the midddle of it!

  • used to wake me up sunday morning when lived across from national zoo - when the crank up (which this one here didn't do) they really sound intimidating

  • it looks and sounds like my biq sister

  • @b4yst4ckzfinest Lol, I have a monkey... erm... big sister too. :P

  • I was descending the big temple at Lamanai 2 weeks ago and heard this noise piercing through the jungle. Well, I nearly died. Thought it was a pack of jaguars. Relieved to discover it was these guys and yes, they'd be better than having an alarm on your house...

  • Scariest sound in the animal kingdom!

  • oh man, those things were doing that to me the other day at the zoo hahah so i did it back and it just got louder and louder, they are so scary!

  • In person, it sounds like a lion roaring. You feel the vibration, even though they are way high in the trees and you can't really see them.

  • My goodness!

  • it makes me wonder how would it sound if you put your ear right it mouth

  • You'd die

  • RACIST

  • omg there soooo much louder in person lol they sound like a dying cow but like 10 times worse :P

  • True, they're worse than roosters in the morning. They woke me up every morning on the beach around 8ish in Costa Rica. lol

  • Damn, those things are loud. lol.

  • Hahaha yeah

The loudest has been heard for a distance of 3 miles : )

  • @Niggerjuicerage There are alot of black monkeys. No not the gorilla a gorilla is an ape not a monkey. Monkeys have tails apes do not.

  • according to my mate this sounds alot like enter shikari lol. im not quite sure???

  • I remember going to the LA Zoo when I was about 5 or 6 and seeing about 3 of these making this sound when I walked up to its area. I was so scared. I'm still a little scared of howler monkies because of that.

  • Is the neighbor's dog pissing you off? Buy one of there motherfuckers!

  • nah, just get an elephant instead;)

  • nah, just get an nuclear warhead instead ;)

  • well, but you might end up blowing up your own house in the process eh;)

  • Haha thats true. lets just stick with using an elephant

  • my name on runescape is the howler9

  • I don't beleive in howler monkeys... this was just CGI and what was recorded was the very real and vetted Saquatch of North America.

    :-p

  • I would be very afraid if I heard that around my dwelling in the middle of the night, then again, cats howling it the middle of the night are scary.

  • LOL well its not that scary, I think its cool.... I used to live in Panama really close to the rainforest. I like it.

  • I saw them in Guatemala. LOTS of them. It's really scary when you are in your bed at night and hear them calling all around you outside in the complete darkness. The Guatemalans told us they are calling for the rains to come.

  • IMA DIE IN MY FAT!

  • That's friggin' metal.

  • It reminds me of the sound the monster in 'The Thing' Made....erie And what's with the female human moans??? Listen at 00:15 and 00:28 ..

  • He sounds congested.

  • I'm reading "The River of Doubt" about Theodore Roosevelt's journey into the Amazon Rain Forest in 1914. It describes the sound of the Howler Monkey. The book doesn't do it justice. Can you imagine going into uncharted jungle and hearing that sound?

  • I just made a trip through Mexico with a couple of friends. We stayed in hammocks in the jungle at Pelenque and were greeted by howler monkeys close by! Considering we didn't have a clue what they looked like they sound absolutely massive! It was pretty scary. lol

  • I know ... being in some little tent at night with these sounds coming from the jungle ... that will get the imagination going!

  • ITS A DINOSOUR!

  • @boorad92 They did use this sound in the Jurassic park movie. Remember that poisonous dinosaur that friiled out and spat poison and the part where he dried to get away with the dna in the car? Right there was a howler monkey sound.

  • @coyote374 actually it sounded more like a bird mabe it was another scene

  • HAHA omg that is so fuckin scary...

  • that is absolutely horrifying.
