I'm a choreographer myself and i thought this dance wasnt too bad but the male needed to have more part take in this routine.. and none of your moves were as exciting as the music.
......maybe in ballet walking flat footed is a no-no but not in lyrical or modern... and if you have seen any new dance videos or been to any work shops... youd no that you walk normally most of the time
I thought that was pretty good. I'm a dancer myself, and I've gotten injuries right before performances and had to dance anyway. You did a pretty good job of covering it up. I can't really say anything about your choreography because I'm not the best choreographer lol I'm a dancer. But all in all i thought it was good :)
@zombievampire1 thanks. looking at it after the fact i can see so many places where i know i was in pain because i kind of just broke the flow or got unstable. most of the dance i was on adrenaline and could handle it. i don't know if you've ever had a toe jam but it was like having a charlie horse every time i had to really point my toe or had the top of my foot on the ground. bah but the choreography itself was a lot of fun to rehearse. i do wish i had more selection of male partners.

I thought the performance was great. I don't dance myself-just a bit of pole, but your performance was very expressive. So what if you were abit FLAT-FOOTED as someone blamed you, you more than made up for it with expressive upper body and hair movements. Very nice to watch

I'm not a dancer but I love to watch people dance. I think you looked beautiful. Seems like you have a lot of people telling you to do this and that. Listen to what they have to say but at the end of the day you pick and choose what you want to use to enhance and tweek your passion :) Don't ever let anyones comment steal your joy and you will go from strength to strength. :) xxxx
yeah the girl part of the dance is pretty good but i cant focus because the guy isn't doing anything... i feel like it is the same movements get used over and over again... the flat feet is pretty distracting too...

hey im a dancer as well, i thought you did really good. you move very well. I honestly didn't take the toe thing that serious. And you know since it was your choreo. , you could have skipped, or marched, or whatever. if that was you three years ago i'm sure you are amazing now. o and i know the guy could lift you and all, but to make the performance more around dance. select someone who moves with the style of dance you have chosen:)
considering all the obstacles in ur way i think u did an amazing job, obviously u were determined to pull this off and u tried ur hardest to have everything work out.
i liked it. even when u almost messed up u pulled urself together enough so maybe someone with no music knowledge won't notice n that's hard to do u have talent.

@kaylarenae3 Ya know, walking flat-footed can work very well depending on the dance. It can give an almost gritty or weird feel to a dance, which is very cool.And I think she did so well seeing what she was going through with her feet.
wow. that was beautiful emotion was on point. yes the lines may have been a little sacrificed, but thats okay, she hates him, its not about beauty, theyre fighting. i love how she walks back out to curtsy then stomps off. Haha.Love it keep up the great dancing.
i actually was limping. trying not to for most of the dance. if you read other comments you would see why. i had two foot injuries happen in the days preceeding. there were multiple performances. some better than others but this video was the best recording. everything was very good live. this was from over 3 years ago. i'm sure if i kept with i'd be better. but i'm more of a choreographer than anything. sort of torn between my dream of teaching dance and real world work
The guy didn't do much, you can tell he's a beginner. He also needed to keep his back straight at all times, and more eye contact with the girl. AKA... THE GIRL DID EVERYTHING!!!!

Very very very good coreography. I love it! But I do wish that their was a little more chemistry between the pair... like their was real emotion burning. Other than that, it was wonderful!
Enjoyed it... and as an avid watcher of "So You Think You Can Dance" I feel I'm almost a pro. Didn't mind the hair at all. However I paid no attention to the male part as most of it was him walking around while you danced wonderfully. Read the previous comments and it sucks you couldn't get him out more due to distance. Great job anyway.
COREOGRAPHY IS SOLID. Follow through on all your movements . Don't truncate due to exhaustion or trying to go to the next step. Also tie the hair back its a distraction your lines are pretty decent minus the un pointed toe(saw your post jammed toes suck!). Good job though.
I like your interpretation to this song and the emotion you're showing. However, try to add some more choreography for the male part. But otherwise, really nice job.

the choreography was done by me, "the girl", funny thing is the boy only had choreography for 1/3 the dance since he lived over an hour away. so the dance primarily rested on myself. who jammed a toe on each foot at rehearsal. apologies for the lack of pointed feet. it's hard to do when your toes are stuck. so maybe now you can breathe with a sense of understanding.
am i marking it? no, but the rehearsal one week prior i jam locked my toe and the night before at dress rehearsal i jammed the same toe on the other foot...haha so i was in a lot of pain none the less...=] actually not to point out the faults...but there's a sloppy part we had to add last minute where there was supposed to be a cool flip, but that flip is why i kept jamming my toes....=[ sad face...but all in all i'm very happy with the choreo..

i felt kind of like it was lacking chemistry. A dance is supposed to tell a story and I just couldn't find one here, sorry. : )

i dont know about the choreography, im in the middle.
how are they walkin around the stage though ? knees bent and heels leading ? im sure that is big no go are with dance.
ok in some odd places to show a certain kind of emotion you might say. but the rest needs to be led by the toe.
at the end the girl looks like she's limping.
