the GT-R is the real heavyweight there with like over 700KG weight disadvantage, and it is still very competetive...its a technological masterpeice that car :)

These tests are garbage. There is no way that a 2 Eleven would be caught by the Nissan on a tight circuit like that. It would carry 10kph more corner speed and brake 100m later everywhere.

If they added some more cars, on Tsukuba track it would be like this:

Radical SR8 >>> Radical SR3/SR4> Caterham R500 (duratec), Ariel Atom 300, Lotus 2-Eleven w/ Supercharger (the one in the video isn't), GTR or GTR Spec V, 911 GT2 or GT2 RS (all of these cars are very close in terms of lap times)> Exige Cup 260, Caterham R400, Ariel Atom 245> KTM X-Bow

SR8 would easily run in 56s on this track, and shave about 2 more seconds with full racing slicks

I might sounds not like your typical youtuber/fanboy....but I really believe there is 3 sounds in the car world that are the most beautiful sounds your ears can hear...that crack sound of a highly modded v-tech right as the valves adjust & the V-tech kicks in screaming up to redline!! The sounds of a screaming hypo hand built motor from Italian banging shift blips!!! or the thunderous ground shaking one of a kinda American muscle of a pushrod V8!! Any and every true car enthusiast should agree!!

i don't think it is the driver. the car is just too heavy (it's a normal street car) to run lap after lap. brake fade and transmission overheat caused it to run slower and slower.

my previous track experience against normal road R-35s were the same. they have to pull over to cool down after 3-4 hard laps. a well prep'd lotus track car will beat them. but track version GTRs are incredible.
