  • 6:01 super hilarius, oh pluggn wires into wires makes me scarred i dont wana blow both my eyebrows off

  • hahaha, "welcome to the 90's"

  • Where can I get another DN Power charger & balancer exactly as shown.

It was mfg by DN Electronic Technology Co., Ltd.

but they are no longer around.

    It's a great product!

    Thanks

  • Where can I get another DN Power charger & balancer exactly as shown.

    It's a great product!

    Thanks

  • What do you think's the best charger/ balancer under $50? Just bought a Hawk Sky and needing a good, reliable platform that wont go wrong after two years.

  • can you charge the battery every time on the balancer and still get a solid full charge.. i no its a old video and you guys are off to bigger things but im finally catching up to the real world with this stuff and all the rc powers vids have helped

  • nice but i heard a 2cell lipo doesnt need a balancer so thats the good part because i have 2s lipo

  • lol he's reading off a board

  • "Three cells there-one, two, three..."

wow, said with such a forced "majestic" pomp -LoL

  • cool man, fun video, that "be cool" you wrote there? LOL

  • @6:02: Funny -- Yeah, I hate it when I "blow up both of my eyebrows"! :-)

  • and if you cant afford a balancer.. plug a 12v light bulb in to the balancer plug it has one COMMON ground and a positive for EACH CELL and use a multimeter to check voltage be carefull of shorts repeat for each cell till they are all the same voltage

  • yes u can charge a 5000mah batt at 5 amps as this is the batterys 1C charge rate no probs a 2c charge rate would be 10amps and krazydrummer dont now shit have you ever checked a batt with a multimeter

  • yes, but your pushing your battery, shortening the life by alittle.. but nothing big

  • u should say one thing that is a problem is when u touch the wires togeather, specially with larger batteries thats a big problem.,

  • very funny at 6:02

  • "one of the three cells starts to get left behind" referring to memory effect, which Li-Ion or LiPo does NOT have. In all my years with Li-Ion, LiPo, and LiFe batteries I've never had a cell "get left behind"... don't go wasting your money on a product he's trying to sell... He's not Billy Mays.

  • @krazeddrummer - Well, thats good that it's never happened to you, but I personally have had it happen to me. On a cheap battery (or even a good quality one) a cell can get left behind. In my case 1 of the 3 cells in my pack went down below 1 volt. The guys at my lhs were able to save it, but with a proper balancing charger, that would have never happened in the first place. So don't make silly comments sying hes just trying to sell a product. You obviously don't know Dave Powers

  • where can i buy this charger and where.

    wats it called?

  • oh plugging wires into wires

  • Dave!! put more tags on this video! there are so many stupid people like me who have killed LiPos because they didn't know what the doohiky thing was!

    Get the word out

  • Very informative video Dave. Val, thanks for making it public again.

  • look man i dont have to buy one i can make one of my own its easy

  • You downplay one important point. If one or more cells lag behind, other cells will be charged with more Coloumb to get the pack to full capacity (e.g. 12.5 V nominal for a 3S).

Your pack will not survive the first 3-4 charges without getting balanced.

  • correct and this is what kills lipo& liion look for over charging vids

  • hey is that wireless or you have to plug it?

  • its called peaking your batteries

  • Hi,

Your videos are informative but I don't understand why you take on this demeanor that seems to imply your viewers are stupid. Hardly the best way to win customers. Maybe your taking the whole common sense thing too far.

  • It's mostly because a lot of these are tutorial videos, more meant to slow things down. I agree he talks like we're dumb, but it's not a condescending tone... It's like talking to a kid, almost.

  • can this machine do a discharge test?

  • 4:23 NICE CUT! LOL

    5:42 ouuu its sparkin,, LOL

  • haha, "Don't worry, this thing's smarter than humans"

  • nice charger i picked me up one of them :) but i got a 2 cell batery that had 4 wires (went into the 3 cell) but it sensed that it was 2 cell automatic :) thanks for sharing this video.

  • As far as I know, "Yes" and "Yes".

  • Welcome to the 90s.
