Playing FFX again and got to this scene today. Poor Tidus. I loved his character, no matter what anybody says. I played FF12 and I felt nothing towards it. I couldnt even follow the story. FFX just fills you up with so much emotion, so much happiness and pain, and before you know it, you beat the game. :C

...They knew they were wrong for keeping that sour note in Yuna's pilgrimage away from Tidus... When Lulu said it was too painful to reveal, that just pissed me off. True allies wouldn't do that to you.
If memory serves me right, They really treated Tidus like rookie-based garbage that whole time in Sanubai ( That slam Cid did to him left me stunned). Guess I'm glad they made up for it by claiming he was the best guardian Spira knew by the end of the game...FFX was great.
Spira only seems so cool because it's surprisingly alot like earth. With rivaled cultures and religions and believes it is Earth, except everyone could just die at any moment because of Sin so...I guess they both have pros and cons...
The part that stuck with me from this scene was the fact that the first Aeon Yuna summoned, Valefor, was trying to protect Tidus with her wings to comfort him even though she was taking the pain from Tidus. I think that Valefor was supposed to represent Yuna in this scene. They kind of mirrored each other. Yuna and Valefor were trying to keep Tidus safe from what he could know, and then from what he knew, even though they were also hurting.
This song is a truly remarkable example of how mere sounds can affect emotions so strongly. This is one of the most beautifully peaceful songs in the game, and yet to this day, it still fills me with so much rage and sadness. From what I gather, it's pretty close between the story of this and FFVII. I haven't played FFVII, and it's one of my deepest regrets. Once you love a song this much, it isn't a soundtrack song any more. It's sheer perfection. And I shall always be brought to tears by this.

Its kinda ironic that many FF fans said this was one of the worst FF games ever when it was released. Now SE has released bad FF gamer right after another, this now this actually one of the best FF games :D
@Tatherwood FFX was my favorite out of every other FF game, and I've played all of them. FFX was the only one that brought out so much emotion in me, I've never played a game and almost been brought to tears many times, let alone any at all. I will never forget this game, because it is my favorite video game ever. I felt like I was immersed in the world of Spira, and it felt like I was actually apart of the game. Everytime I go back and play it, it is such a sereal experience.
@gw2insider I'll tell you why. Cause it was a normal-good game, first of PS2, which means that had AN AMAZING graphics improvement compared to all the previous ones.
If now a remake of FFVIII or FFIX was made, EXACTLY THE SAME, just with PS3 graphics, those would be better. And surely bring you to tears.

i remember one part of the game that got me, Auron, seeing his past in zanarkand, his younger self, when he strikes his younger self because he should of gone in with jecht and yuna's dad *forgot his name* i think its braska, something like that. and this song was playing.

Best time they play this was when the gang where watching Jecht's decision to become Braska's final Aeon. Such good writing, you could see his character growth in just that scene. Why didn't they make an FFX prequel?
This isn't the last good Final Fantasy X. It's the best game ever, and that's not all. There's more to this game. It's the best piece of art. The ultimate perfection of mankind's abilities. That's why Final Fantasy XII didn't go well. I loved it. The story handled political matters, and required a certain amount of knowlodge to be fully understood and enjoyed. The last good Final Fantasy game is Dissidia: Final Fantasy. ACCEPT IT. As for this one, NEVER FORGET IT! LET IT BE PASSED ON . REMAKE!
@PisYCaca1 yes u are totally right ..the reason that fans think that all ff after ffx aren't "the same" is just because it's one of the best game ever....so it's difficult to do more....yes ffxii don't give the appropriate place to story and give too much for gameplay..so all goes very fast and it's difficult to follow it....but they had no choice...all games give a great importance to gameplay..that's a commercial tactic ..

I will always remember this game as original masterpiece that made me laugh, scared me, and made me cried like a baby. This game was just like a book a massive breathtaking plot with fabulous music and battle system. Whenever I hear this music, the lines Tidus says immediately come to my mind.

They just made the game look cheap and more of a grinding game than a real FF game, where the story mattered most, not the constant combat.

@NefariousNevermore I completely agree. Its funny, I was introduced to Final Fantasy a couple years ago from Kingdom Hearts and had to play it. I first got, played and beaten Final Fantasy XIII and was really dissapointed on many levels. I pushed myself to try another, and I got VII and loved the whole thing, then played the other VII games. Then I got X, and again, I was so ecstatic with the whole thing. Now I'm getting VIII, can't wait. These were masterpieces, I hope SE turns around...

why did they make X-2? another person and i talked about this. make a prequel to 10 (crisis core worked for VII right?). most people used tidus, yuna, auron for their final team so we now have jecht, braska, and younger auron. auron probably had the most depth along with lulu in the main cast and braska and jecht had way more depth even thought they're dead!
this adventure was so heart wreching, i mean, you;d think that lulu would hate tidus when he reminded her and wakka of chappu, but she opened and like kimahri, they both got used to tidus and trusted him. its sad that he vowed to protect yuna, but didnt know the price of her finishing her pilgrimage. I liked FFX because tidus was just likeable and everyone in the party was going under his influence and didnt want him to fade in the end especially yuna.
@thatguyontheright1 yes, on my first playthrough I didnt think she'd be a boss until she started to get vile after yuna rejected her offer for the final aeon. i mean that was a huge relief on rikku and tidus' part because they were trying to figure out how to get rid of yuna dying
@Minan3 I hated that boss battle, mainly because I had such a difficult time with it the first time through. Then I go online and see that people can beat her without using the sphere grid and I got reallllly pissed.

@Tatherwood FFX was my favorite out of every other FF game, and I've played all of them. FFX was the only one that brought out so much emotion in me, I've never played a game and almost been brought to tears many times, let alone any at all. I will never forget this game, because it is my favorite video game ever. I felt like I was immersed in the world of Spira, and it felt like I was actually apart of the game. Everytime I go back and play it, it is such a sereal experience.

@gw2insider I'll tell you why. Cause it was a normal-good game, first of PS2, which means that had AN AMAZING graphics improvement compared to all the previous ones.
If now a remake of FFVIII or FFIX was made, EXACTLY THE SAME, just with PS3 graphics, those would be better. And surely bring you to tears.

I really hope my summers won't change too badly. 2010 was most likely the last time I'll be going there, and listening to this... It makes me remember it.

Hehe... listening to this and writing about my grandparents' lake for a project I have to do... Wow... I'm probably never going there again because they both died recently, and the house is prolly gonna get sold soon, considering there's a beautiful lake right next to the house.
I really want to take my kids there someday, just to show them what summer was like for me when I was a kid.
I suppose I should be used to change in this world now, though... I'm gonna miss that lake. -con't-

This isn't the last good Final Fantasy X. It's the best game ever, and that's not all. There's more to this game. It's the best piece of art. The ultimate perfection of mankind's abilities. That's why Final Fantasy XII didn't go well. I loved it. The story handled political matters, and required a certain amount of knowlodge to be fully understood and enjoyed. @Rtlighter Actually the reason fans think FFX was the last GOOD FF was because Square-Soft combined with Enix and made SQUARE-ENIX and the first game this new company made was X-2 (Nuff said?) FF 12 wasnt that bad but the new FF 13 is really bad in my opinion. they think they can do everythin because the new one looks very good but it depends much more on a good story and characters. I will always remember this game as original masterpiece that made me laugh, scared me, and made me cried like a baby. This game was just like a book a massive breathtaking plot with fabulous music and battle system. Whenever I hear this music, the lines Tidus says immediately come to my mind.

@justa16thnote I think he means the Gambit system that was introduced in FFXII and continued in FFXIII.
They just made the game look cheap and more of a grinding game than a real FF game, where the story mattered most, not the constant combat.
FFXIII decided to just go on autopilot almost completely, as if Square was saying "Hey, stop. We want to make movies now, don't you get the idea?". That's just my opinion, but it's most likely what Nefarious was really talking about.

@NefariousNevermore I completely agree. Its funny, I was introduced to Final Fantasy a couple years ago from Kingdom Hearts and had to play it. I first got, played and beaten Final Fantasy XIII and was really dissapointed on many levels. I pushed myself to try another, and I got VII and loved the whole thing, then played the other VII games. Then I got X, and again, I was so ecstatic with the whole thing. Now I'm getting VIII, can't wait. These were masterpieces, I hope SE turns around...

why did they make X-2? another person and i talked about this. make a prequel to 10 (crisis core worked for VII right?). most people used tidus, yuna, auron for their final team so we now have jecht, braska, and younger auron. auron probably had the most depth along with lulu in the main cast and braska and jecht had way more depth even thought they're dead!

this adventure was so heart wreching, i mean, you;d think that lulu would hate tidus when he reminded her and wakka of chappu, but she opened and like kimahri, they both got used to tidus and trusted him. its sad that he vowed to protect yuna, but didnt know the price of her finishing her pilgrimage. I liked FFX because tidus was just likeable and everyone in the party was going under his influence and didnt want him to fade in the end especially yuna.
