regarding the fish. ok the same thing happened to my fish, well i was just gone a while so he didnt get food but, they are pretty hardy fish. if he has a bubble type thing in his stomach he probably has a tumor, thats how mine died.
If Jesus is still alive try a bigger container. try different food. make sure water is in good condition. Jesus has to breathe air so make sure he can get fresh air. hopefully this will help. good luck!!!
You know, those chinese fighter fish that are all sorts of colors? They live in teeny-tiny bowls and you can't put them together otherwise they eat each other.

And I've not fed my beta for a few days with no ill effects. May just not be hungry. Just make sure not to leave the food in there. It might poison the water.
Betas only live 3 to 4 years most of the time so if he's that old it might just be his time to go. Don't clean the water out too much, it has helpful bateria in it that allow the water to cycle out the fish crap (nitrates, to be specific). Just make sure it has plenty of air and some air current at the top of the tank.

Try to only feed it 2 or 3 pellets twice a week. The stomach of a Beta fish is only the size of it's eye, so they do not require alot of food. The key is, DON'T over feed. Be sure to use distilled water (not tap). Keep the water at around 80 degrees. If you are using gravel, try a larger stone to cut down on the waste that is left behind when you change the water. You may also want to try feeding it frozen blood worms. Hope this helps. Jeremy P.S. I expect credit if this works ;)

the fish is native to thailand, not china. Its a Siamese fighting fish.
just search google with "beta fish" and click the first link to follow instructions on how to care for this fish.
