Despite all this 'outrage', here we are about a year later and MW2 completely blew away sales records. The 'boycott group' that had started up was a laughing riot as someone grabbed a screenie of 95% of them playing MW2. :P

It blew the sales records but that doesn't mean its a good game, in fact many old school players and probably the most loyal cod fans hated mw2, including myself (talking pc community here), a disgrace to the cod franchise.

Thankfully blackops returns some of the pc support, compared to the MW2 joke.

@Garren16 Most people pirate games when they aren't worth their cash, or there isn't any type of demo available. Upping the price of a game and dropping a huge list of features that pc gamers have come to expect isn't going to stop pirating, it's going to encourage it.

I have downloaded a couple of games (each over 10 years old and only available at online vendors who are selling them illegally anyway) I think though itll push pc gamers to cosoles, because consoles these days lose no revenue to pirating. I think the main consequense for pc games will that eventually they stop releasing them on disc and they are only available for direct download at places like Steam.

I don't think it's justifiable, but considering how even if people pirate a game, 10x more people buy it. Gaming will always be a profitable business, but GREED sets in, you start getting lazy and you keep wanting more, MORE, MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you make a game, you better account for every system. Even if it's pirateable on one of them. People will still buy it, and you'll still profit. Now of course, if you're a greedy fuck like Bobby Kotick, profit has infinite meanings.

this is ridiculous..... what was wrong with having dedicated servers in the previous MW?? it worked fine, they booted asshole hackers out with punkbuster and everyone had around the same ping making it fair game. The host will have an unfair advantage and no lean is honestly wtf?? one think the pc version had over the console version is now gone.

yep... no dedi. servers...18players max... lags & big pings thx to p2p ssytem than dedi....host adventage over connected people...no lean [in this days and in cod series its unforgivable ^^].... so all those issues brings me to "not buying it"... mostly the single player might be nice [yet 6h is just not much..], console palyers will love it for sure... but PC users got screwed up soo big that they should go to hell just by useing CoD4 to promote how good MW2 is compared to MW1...since ITS NOT !
