I had to watch this film because P.Verhoeven was its director. He made brilliant RoboCop, Totall Recall and Basic Instinct. And yes, Starship Troopers was great. Casper Van Dien, Dina Meyer & Jake Busey did a great job. Critics gave many negative reviews to this movie but I think ST is one of the most underrated Sci-Fi films of the 90's (along with Strange Days, Alien 3, Them, Lawnmower Man, Virtuosity, FutureSport, The Time Shifters, The Apocalypse, The Arrival, Mimic, Virus, Space Truckers)

Robert Heinlein was one of the best. Can't think of one bad book he wrote. They are dated but more applicable now than ever...like 1984 is.
