I'm a new player and I still can't find pots and pans to buy to make mac and cheese. Anybody wanna help me out?

make your sims cook food alot~ then the food will change each time when lv. up.

that's the thing, every time I try to cook something, I get a lil' message above their heads and they put the food down to rot. And I can never find any kitchen utensils in the buy catalog.
why did I watch this when I was hungry? :)
