  • Nice!!

  • Yeats, Larkin, Hughes, Heaney...thanks for the post, greatly. But don't rely on the sounds, cos the poetic giants are already doing it for you. t

  • my dear lady,

Thank you. I am feeling the insidious ache as a mist of tears struggles against my sense of propriety. 4 generations are betyween me and the ancestors who walked the lanes of Ireland, but the call of the Gael sings within me just the same. Thank you for the work and effort you did and for your words and comments in this film. Bless you. ~rosmerryn~

  • Thanks very much for your comments. It's lovely to hear from you. Poetry and art is in our blood, and it's a joy to hear that it's in yours too:)

  • yeah......dont get me wrong that was all very nice and everything, seriuosly.

but your not really showing anyone HOW to do it are you? your just doing it.....

what ink/paint are you using? what is your relief made from? is it wood or lino or whatever?

and just a technicallity but your not printing the poem.....your printing a swan in a lake

sorry to be so negative but I'm slightly dissapointed, this isnt really what the title suggests it is going to be

but your work is superb anyway

  • very nice...

  • WOW! What a BEAUTIFUL video on SO many levels!! :) :) Thank you!!

  • I should be resting now but I am watching you print and enjoying listening to the poem. We will set aside some time for printmaking on return from the Netherlands exhibition and you can begin your Golden Hare.

  • could you not print your url on every single video...its similar to television and the viewer not being allowed to focus on the image...

In response to my video "The Waterboy's", that is from my boyfriend who saw them..I wish I had, but I will be seeing Billy Connolly soon and hopefully will start to get things posted for viewing as well.

  • Thanks very much. We wondered if you went to Cork - that's our favourite city in Ireland.

As to what to expect next - well we don't rightly know ourselves sometimes:)

    Enjoy Billy Connelly, he's great.

  • I'm originally from Maryland, U.S. and moved to Cork 3 years ago.

  • Brilliant.

    We'll see you there then:)

  • Beautiful. I am sure Yeats would be flattered by this.

We love this little film to. It's a homage to my parents.

  • This was fantastic! I just found it. It is so special when someone shares poetry, their world and part of themselves. Bravo!

Everyone... this is from the same people that brought us the kilt in the wind.

    Who knew?

    ;)

  • thank you dearest...I love watching you work hearing the poem..and listening to your richly woven voice.

  • Very inspiring piece of film & wise words from someone who likes to look at the bigger picture of life!

  • Very beautiful print. Is it for sale?

  • Beautifull :D

  • what a beautiful blend of words music and image. My restless roving eye moused a thumbnail and came to rest in reeds with your bird. Just discerned and ghostly the swan roams freely between page and pond as your gentle voice carries me beyond to think of larger things in our troubled human world way beyond the slowly busy swan. Mike

  • Thanks Colin, we enjoyed that.

We were up there with the Spice Girls and some male wrestlers in a clinch....:)

  • Great job

  • Beautiful poem, beautiful vid. I live close to Sligo and was down there filming last week. Stood at Yeats grave. 'Cast a cold eye on death' He truly was a remarkable man and extraordinary poet.

  • Words can do what guns can't. I love it.

  • Too right.

    Thanks for your words.

  • Very Beautiful!

  • Very beautiful. I love it when I see other people being inspired by nature and stepping away from the harsh in your face kind of lifestyle. Thank you so much.

  • wonderful

  • I wish more parents today would give their children a love of reading, poetry and the arts. Guess they're too busy doing everything except being a Mom and Dad to their own.

  • And let's not forget music

  • Of course, Joe, definitely. When I refer to "the arts" for me it's inclusive of music, theatre, dance, etc. And drawing.

    :)

  • Another poet, John Keats, said it best, "Beauty is truth, truth beauty,- that is all Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know".(Ode on a Grecian Urn)! 5 beautiful & truthful stars!
