This is utter nonsense. As a NJ high school math teacher, I see students far weaker since our district adopted Chicago Math. The truth is, Asian, Australian and European students completely outperform our students. Just one factor is a lack of fundamental numerical manipulation like adding fractions! It's the basics, the boring basics! Current education theory posits the notion that if it isn't entertaining, it isn't worth doing. Tell that to any top violinist, gymnast, dancer, or chef!
