in my opinion chris broderick is a bit overestimated as a guitarist.I agree that he has tremendous technique and that in the bands he plays, he executes the songs and the solos of the original creators(for example friedman in megadeth where he is now) sometimes better than them.But ,damn, in guitar the thing that matters the most is creation of music and the copy of them.I think that he has a lot still to become as great as loomis or marty who have written tons of killer songs and solos,

I really don't think Chirs joined Megadeth for money alone. I think he joined because he wasn't getting the best out of him on the fantastic Nevermore. I mean he is a fantastic player and he was sidelined as a second guitarist in Nevermore, outshadowed by Jeff. and by the way, Nevermore's music was not of Chris's type, even Jeff Loomis admitted that.

But with Megadeth now, He can unleash his true potential. He is an amazing player, and I think He made a very wise decision by joining Megadeth.

I agree. I don't really think Chris is meant to be a rhythm player, because in terms of pure technical skill, he and Jeff are basically on an identical level. I used to think nobody could touch Jeff's solos, but Chris can play the most difficult of his work almost perfectly.
