  • i love my <3 BLACK MOOR <3

  • i had a nice black moor that was about 7 inches overall with a nice large dorsal area too bad when the power went out for a week he died after 6 years of life :(

  • Thought thats a black Butterfly? Because the split in the tail? i had one just like it and they said it wasn't a moor because the tails different

  • @kelzybub306 All telescope eye fancies that are all black are considered moors. Tails, finnage and size do vary based on traits picked up through cross breeding. So you do have broadtail, butterfly tail, and veiltail varities within the moors. Mine actually are broadtails, which also can have a split tail. Butterfly fancies tend to have shorter tails (which when viewed from the top resemble butterfly wings).

  • wee fatties :)

  • hey i have the same dragon ornament, did you buy that at petland, nice fishes... I want to buy some oranda black goldfish but i need a divider, because I have Bolvian ram cichlids, later.

  • @VieTRaVeR I got it at petsmart, but took it out when the guys got bigger. Just a note I wouldn't put any other fish in the same tank with goldfish(even with a divider), because goldfish put out a lot of waste that other fish can't handle in the water. Mine are 7"-8" now and orandas get larger than moors and fantails.

  • Hi, your aquarium looks great and your black moor's look very happy and healthy. I have a black moor myself but he is very small. I just got him recently and he is usually happy during the day, but he also oddly stays in a vertical position facing the gravel floating. he slowly moves his fins to move around as he floats.... You appear to have experience with them and i wonder if you have any knowledge on whats happening with my goldfish. Is this just a phase?

    Thank You

  • @MissAudacious501 Thank you, and no it is not a phase. If your fish swims normally during the day fancy goldfish do "rest" where they barely move and float in place, sometimes with their head facing down. Goldfish are also scavenger eaters too, sifting through gravel so intently that they do so vertically. My fish are all still doing well, my Moors are now 3yrs old @ 8" and 7.5", and white( or silver) fantail is about a year @ 8" (dragon no longer in tank).

  • @bayoubimmer Thank You, knowing my moor's behavior is normal, brings me relief. Im glad to hear all your goldfish are alive, well and growing. It gives me high hopes for my young ones. Thanks again.

  • So cute! :3

  • i love your tank ... beautiful fish

  • hi ther i was wondering if black moors and goldfish need heater??

  • @MIZAN4LYF1 Goldfish are coldwater fish, so they don't require a heater. If your tank is in a location that gets below 60 degrees a heater would help keep temperatures stable.

  • cute

  • THEIR beautiful

  • I like your video.Thank you for your video reply to my video. Balance is really the key to so many things. Thank you for the video reply. Our goldfish tank needs a video update now that the goldfish and plants are getting bigger. There honestly seems to be no algae problems with 3 round bodied goldfish in a 30 gallon tank in our tank. Low light plants that goldish don't like to eat really help balance a goldfish tank.

  • @leeannalove

Filtration is the key...my filter for my 30g tank is rated for a 90g tank

  • @bayoubimmer

I very much agree that goldfish really need an oversized filter. I strongly recommend one or two zebra nerite snails (if you can find them)when and if your dragon starts growing green eyebrows.
