It is discouraging to see some of the worlds best classical guitarists have to play music so boring and unimportant as the music of Barrios ,Piazzolla etc.

Mister Cotsiolis go back to Scarlatti's, Rameau's,Bach's if you want quality guitar music and leave these folkloric things for the folk musicians please.

Leo Brouwer has said that Costas Cotsiolis is his favorite player to play his concertos and other pieces. I agree with Leo. Costas is an awesome player with a lot of great energy. This piece is very very well done and shows a lot of engergy with a lot of Segoviaesque gestures. Costas Cotsiolis true master of guitar. Beautiful tone. Just out of this world. People should also check out his performing of Leo Brouwer's concertos and other pieces. They are the best I have heard, hands down.

i agree with you bzeliotis. actually he loses the control of the rhythm as you say,because he makes many ritardandi,ritenuti,ralledandi and accelerandi where there s no need and cut it into pieces. also,his phrases have no direction.

Not lyrical enough for me. He doesn't allow the rhythm to come through nor the tune to sing. Too wistfull. Of course the man is a master of the instrument but this one doesn't cut it for me.

Τελεια τεχνική αλλα δυστυχώς έχει χάσει το ρυθμό κατά τη δική μου γνώμη. Δεν τραγουδά τη μελοδία όπως πρέπει την κόβει και τυραννά το κοινό. Δεν λέω βέβαια είναι μεγάλος κιθαρίστας ο Κώστας αλλά ίσως αυτό παθαίνει κάποιος αν παίζει τόσο πολύ σύγχρονη μουσική.

πιθανον να παραειναι ελευθερο, δε ξερω. Αλλα... αν επαιζα κατα μ.ο. 50 ρεσιταλ/χρονο για 40 χρονια θα εκανα οτι γουσταρα στα κομματια για να μη πεθανω απο βαρεμαρα. Στο δισκο παντως, κατα τη δικια μου γνωμη παντα, ειναι απιστευτη η εκτελεση. Κ εδω μια χαρα μου ακουγεται!
