  • hey. i just wanna ask u an question. my mom have to get her kidney remove, how bad is it when the kidney is removed? and how does it feels? and what should i do? and is it life or death? please reply

  • I just came across this by mistake. No wonder you're in pain down there if the string's coming out of your vagina! It should be coming out of the urethra! I had a kidney stent in a couple of years ago, it isn't pleasant. I'm currently recovering from having my kidney removed and i'm only 26. The doctors said when they took it out, it was falling apart on account of it being completely rotten. I'm glad you only have stones. It hurts like hell but it could be a lot worse, so chin up!

  • Hey Taunia, Wishing you a speedy recovery girl. Prayers & Love, Kathyann

  • I HOPE YOU GET BETTER HUGS!!!

  • well, you can look at being sick as a bad thing because it makes you feel yucky, or you can look at the bright sides lol- you are home now, you will probably have a bit more weight loss this week due to lack of foodage and no more stones.

Sorry about the string thingie... that just sucks. Sending healing blessings your way and hope you feel all better soon :)

  • You poor thing- I hope it's all down hill from here :)

  • Taunia...I hope you feel better quick! Take lots of care girl...

  • Your doc really could help you with the nausea issue....be persistant and ask for the Zofran or other anti-nausea drug. If people on chemo can alleviate their nausea with these drugs...you should be able to also!

  • You poor thing! Oh my word. I'm glad you're home and on the mends. Like everyone has said, from this point, it can only get better. I wish you the best. take care

  • Can't they give you a bunch of Zofran?

  • Hopefully this will all be worth it, and you will feel better soon! And the string thing uhhh yeah kinda weird, but try not to pull it, it might make you dance and sing like a toy ! LMAO

  • OMG you poor thing, what you have gone thru with this stupid kidney stones. I feel so bad for you. Hope you feel better and back to normal real soon. take it easy. D

  • I've had 12 surgeries total and I'm in the same boat as you as far as anest. is concerned. The past 3 times I did good, because the doctor figured out what the prob. was. Next time - ask for NO GAS and you shouldn't be as sick. At least it worked for me. I hope you start feeling better!

  • You poor doll! I feel so bad for you! That must be so uncomfortable. I'm glad that you are home and beginning to recover. Get well soon and I look forward to seeing your usual peppy and upbeat self again soon - Mary

  • Sorry your not feeling well.. and I feel bad for you about that awful string too.

  • Get well soon!

  • Thank you! :)

  • I am so sorry your having a hard time! You are in my prayers!

  • Thanks, Danielle...right back atcha!

  • Oh Taunia, you sure have had your share of misery.Someone once said "don'nt you know hospitals are bad for your health."Get well soon .hugs Diana

  • LOL - no kidding, right? Thank you for your support...I appreciate it!

  • God bless ya.....hope things look better in your future!

  • Thanks, Sally. :) I hope you're feeling good these days!

  • I also have a reaction/allergy to anesthesia. If you told your anesthesiologist, he should have done something to prevent that. Next time, make sure they give you a scopalomine patch behind your ear before you get out of surgery. Serramist says it's morphine, in my case, it's codeine. Loratab (liquid oxycotin) is notorious for side effects as well. Without the patch, I would have reacted like you did when I had my RNY. My prayers have been and will continue to be with you.

  • Oh believe me, I got the patch behind my ear PLUS anti-nausea medication through my IV. It's definitely the anesthesia that does it. I told them before-hand and they tried a different kind, which only made it worse, I think.

  • You poor thing! I hope you get better soon and that you dont have to have anymore surgery. You are looking great though, it that helps at all.

  • Thank you, that does help. lol

  • That sounds like a nightmare. Seriously. I don't think I would handle the string very well. I'd freak out. Happy 4th. Take care - Jenn

  • To be honest, the string does suck. lol But after the past two months of pain, it's something I can tolerate, I guess. :)

  • aww I hope you are start feeling better real soon

  • Thank you, I hope I do too! lol

  • Bless your heart..... hope you are better soon. Jody

  • Thank you. :)

  • oh my gosh, that string ust be miserable just as you said

  • That is morphine....Tell them no morphine next time you have surgery. It causes vomiting and takes longer to recover

  • Nope, wasn't morphine because I didn't have any of that. I've had morphine the several times I had stays in the hospital and it worked like a dream. :) Definitely the IV anethesia.

  • So sorry to hear you had such a hard time at the hospital =( Hope you feel better soon!

  • Thank you, I appreciate it. :)
