  • Good timing! the only thing is that your leading with your right hip (overcrossing in the beggining) sometimes your feet are turning in, but your trying to perfect it so...it's not bad! great job!

  • Work on stamina. You're dying before you even start your long.

  • I really liked this set. It was full of trebles and rythm, not like a lot of the sets now days which are full of tricks. I know this was a few years ago but i hope you kept up with your style, cos it is really nice.

  • That's one encouraging comment... Hem.

You could have been a bit less severe, and you should have rather told her what to work on instead of criticizing and saying "you shouldn't do that, this looks bad," etc. Sorry, but your comment sounded really rude to me, and if someone had said something like that to me, I would have been hurt.

  • How long have you been dancing (When this was filmed)?

    Thanks! - Savannah :)

  • work on turn out. The hips looked forced out, and the turn out should come all the way down the leg but obviously in the foot. Several times the feet were limp or what my school calls "dead fish feet" where the foot is not pulled tightly into a toe. Especially watch at :38 the feet were straight forward. Sorry about the audience, I thought that was rude but hey, what can you do. Overcross at beginning was too forced- more natural but crisp position works better.

  • Well I can't do that, so that's pretty awesome. What's up with the crowd? People walking around, leaving, rolling balls onto the stage to try and trip you. What jerks.

  • Ugh it annoys the heck out of me when people walk in front of you when you are dancing!!!!

    :p

  • In regards to all the overcross comments: I have been told by several professional show dancers that your point should never pass the line of your back toe. But, teachers have different styles, and you were obviously told to cross like that. You're a great dancer wearing a Gavin. Surely, you've earned it. BUT, i will say that it looked as though your hips were turned to the side as well, which is not a great first impression. Best luck!

  • since when could we point our toes like that because i always got told off for doing it at dancing !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ye ur feet wer worng at de start and ur not suppose 2 point ur toe 2 de side...it suppose 2 be in front of ya...nd u started b4 de music aswel

  • Im sorry to say this but when i fist started watching this video i notieced the pointing bit and that was horrible.

i dont think that it would have gave a good impresion.

when you started dancing you could have lifted your legs abit higher but you didnt.

and towards the end it looked boring and like you were giving up .

  • i dont reccomend that u point your toe to the side.. not to be mean but it doesnt give a judge a good impression and also it doesnt look nice.. :)

  • what you on boy? if you can pull it off and over cross without twisting your body the judge doesnt care. i do i've never been marked down?

  • I have never heard of being marked down for over crossing. I think it's great that she can do it so well!

  • im on about when you overcross before you dance!!!!! its absolutely hgorrible. like overcrossing when u dance yeah that good ... but not before!

  • good set dance tho. well done

  • over crossing before you dance does not give you good marks lol

  • Beautiful dancing!

I thought the whole thing was beautiful, but of course I'm going to be the Russian judge here, I loved your dancing, but while you were waiting to dance, you were overcrossing quite alot. Try toning down the cross a little bit, but still 5/5! kudo's to you!

  • you would be surprised at how much the judges looove that overcrossing. that is what gets most girls [who can't dance] a recall and good score at the worlds believe it or not.

  • some over cross is good, but this is getting to the point of looking unnatural and painful

  • I agree, some over cross is good, but that did look very unnatural and painful.

  • it's been a while since I last saw this vid lol thanks for commenting :) Gah I got the shivers from that overcross. LOL :)

  • Well done! I'm not as wild about the overcross, but that's just me being picky. You should really be commended on how you delt with that distraction. You were AWESOME! My teacher has drilled into my head that I always need to keep on dancing if that happens, so I really enjoyed seeing what you did. Keep up the good work!

  • that was awesome what speed do you do this at?

  • work on your stamana. good job though :D

  • i'm learning that set dance!!

  • Your solo dress is so pretty!

  • Beautiful dancing BUT !!!

Darling dont be dancing on the linoleum and killing yourself out like that! I could feel the cement inder the tiles! Jaysus H!! You'll have to get new knees and ankles at age 30!

  • Her concentration is amazing, even with a distraction like that she still carries on! haha! I'm not keen on the overcross though and the dress is so short !

  • Haha, I agree :D She stays concentrated even if people are moving around her, everywhere...

  • that was really good. i do this set and its har to stay on time, and its fairly long, but great gob anyway!

  • Nice dancing :)

I know that here, in Europe, overcrossing is good, and it seems judges like it. How is it in Ireland and the USA ?

  • ugh overcross in the beginning NO!!!!!!! and you had a false start!!!!!!!!

  • the dress is really short on her. if you want to see her again type in "treble reel" and u will see her perform with a group. it is pretty good. or you can click on the person who taped this and look at it from there.

  • your over crossed at the start you will lose marks for that..udges dont like that..trust me

  • no you don't. it's actually something that is really liked by judges here. you'd lose points for her false start though with the step step thing right beffore the first jump

  • i actually thought your srossing in the begining was nice and your turn out... but twords the en you looked tired and a little sloppy and i understand the floor is hard to dance on but thats no excuse cause in competition you can't blame the floor cause everyone has to dance on the same floor i agree with the others your dress is to short but not drastically you could wear it in competition if you had no other option... at my school we have people borrow dresses like crazy so i suggest you do

  • i think she has beautiful turnout!!! not only at the beginning, but through the whole set dance! I too have a false start " " in my set dance and i have never lost any points-i am an open champ, so i guess it is the judge you have? anyways-nice set, drunken gauger is one of my favorite songs :)

  • ooo very good! hah.. that crazy woman was getting a bottle top or something before she tripped and broke her neck... i think the right term would be nice woman :). very nice dude ^^

  • omg! i used to do this set and some of you may know me but i was the 1st one at the Oireachtes in the mid-atlanice region who miss started it in 2006 under 12...so i give you props for doing tht set!

  • true i didnt really look at that :)

  • that was good although u looked quite tired towards the end and u need to turn u feet out more. who was that crazy women?

  • Then again, look at the floor she's dancing on. I'd be tired after dancing on that floor as well!

  • I love the rhythmy bit at the beginning! :D You're a dance.neter right?

  • i think ive seen you around. do you go to the lynn school?

  • yeah.....ur dress is kinda really short from the back?!

  • @iPoeky i no and the front as well

  • YOU CAN'S STAND LIKE THAT AT FIRST!!!!!

    FIFT POSITION PLEASE!!!!!

    but very nice after...

oh my!! your skirt is very short backwards!!

  • Wow, people are kind of rude in that audience, huh? Good job!

  • Very nice dancing! Just kinda sucks that people were moving around everywhere during your performance

  • Yeah... Ball rules anyway... ;)

  • Yay Jeannie ;)

  • hey i love ur dress!

  • very well done, considering the craptacular floor it looks like it was done on.

  • hahah agreed. craptacular...i like that word :-p
