Good, if more terriorists and thier 'governments' saw this, maybe they'd be a little less likely to flip the U.S. the bird, let alone take a swing at em.
There is nothing good about a million people dead, many who were innocent civilians. Each white flag represents 6 to 7 people ...and nobody in Iraq took a swing at us.... "we" attacked them!
You can look at it in a possitive way if you wanted, like: war = less humans = less urban development to destroy more mother nature and planet earth. I think war is a good thing in that regard. Population is the real killer.
after your done with the 4000 white flags taht you put down for the american soldeirs, how about you put about 600,000 white flags for the iraqi body count
As I watched each flag being placed by the volunteers who helped assemble this installation, the reality of this nightmare hit me again and again. "Oh... six more Iraqi families changed forever... Oh, another U.S. family changed forever." "Six more." "Six more." "Six more." "One more." "One more."
Stupidity and shortsighted greed. Economics and governments run amok. The lust for power.
This installation hit me like a ton of bricks. To quote our nasty little president, "Mission accomplished."
It's not for oil. All the oil in Iraq won't make up for the hundreds of billions of dollars this war has cost us, the millions of lives lost, the degradation of the constitution, and the tainting of America's reputation. This war is pointless and has cost us so much, yet some people are still too proud and arrogant to admit it.
if it's not for oil what is it for then. they already confirmed that they have no wepons of mass destruction and they have a poilce to protect the people mabye it's power but what can we acomplish for taking them over land? who wants live on the desert we already have there oil so there is no other point to be in there but oil!!!
I think the idea is good, but hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have fled their country possibly leading to an overestimation. Regardless, thousands surely have died.
you wish for more red dont you?

the white flags were for the Iraq people killed and the red flags were for American.
Also for every white flag in the display it represented 6 people, and that was based on a report from a couple yeras ago (by now)

Good point
Not sure if estimations are used and if so to what degree. I am sure there are thousands of Iraqi's displaced as well.
